The winged beasts of Dorota Stumpf's Academy Gate design, inspired by the gateway of Burlington House on Piccadilly, home of the Royal Academy of Arts, curl through gilded acanthus here on a stone and gold ground, framed by a deep claret border. The colourway is darker and more formal than its gold companion, and the beasts show their full character in a loose puff fold. It is printed on 100% silk and measures 40cm by 40cm. Claret and gold suit navy, charcoal and black tie, and bring warmth to winter dressing. A handsome gift for an art lover or a Royal Academy Friend.
