B-Grade means this product has paint defects only. They are brand new and never been fitted. Modified spoiler. Fits same as OEM Part. Includes Fog light Blanking plates. B-Grade Front Sportline Spoiler + Splitter T5-X Styling For Volkswagen T5.1 Transporter To T6 You are purchasing our Brand New Design From Van-X Front Sportline Spoiler plus Fog Light Trims for the VW T5.1. This spoiler has been modified from the OEM Design. It has been upgraded on the height and width. Unlike other spoilers on the market Van-X T5-X Spoiler doesn't stick out like the OEM or after market/replicas. This is the only spoiler on the market that has used injection technology, this allows sharper lines and a more elegant look. The lower trims on this spoiler are removable and made from ABS, so can be easily removed and painted in any colour of your choice or any VW Colours. No tooling or modifications required. This spoiler has honeycomb mesh built in between the spoiler and the lower lip. Our Sportline spoiler has built in number/licence plate trims. This allows you to bury in the plate nicely, the way it should be! This Spoiler will only fit to the T5-X bumper or the T6 OEM bumper. Our T5-X Spoiler is compatible with the T6 Fog Lights. To fit these you will need to modify the washer bottle on the Passenger side only. It is very simple to modify, you need to heat up the washer bottle and reshape the bottle. Alternatively, you are able to purchase the VW T6 Washer bottle to fit. Very soon we will create a tutorial on how to heat up and reshape the washer bottle showing where to heat and press to reshape at the front only. If your vehicle doesn't have fog lights this process can be bypassed. B-Grade Notice: This is a B-Grade item, meaning there are minor scratches/scuffs from storage/transit on this item. They are hairline scratches or abnormalities that are hard to notice. This item can also be painted over as the paint is a good primer and this can cover any issues on the paintwork. This spoiler will be available in VW colours such as Candy white, Reflex Silver or Deep black. T5-X Product Features Modified spoiler. PUABS material. Fits same as OEM Part. Elegant Look. Many Features. Upgraded design and overall performance. Manufacturing Code : 7T51-XLS-861

A charging cable for the plug-in Toyota C-HR, covering the C-HR Plug-in Hybrid 220 sold in the UK from July 2024 and the battery electric C-HR+ in Icon, Design and Excel form. Both charge through a Type 2 inlet, so the lead is a Type 2 to Type 2. The Plug-in Hybrid 220 accepts 6.6 kW on AC, the C-HR+ Icon and Design accept 11 kW, and the C-HR+ Excel accepts 22 kW. A UK home supply is single phase, so the car draws at most 7.4 kW at a house and the 32A single phase cable delivers that in full. The ordinary C-HR Hybrid is self-charging, has no charging socket and takes no cable. Lengths are 5 and 10 metres, with 15 and 20 metres in the 32A single phase cable. Every e-tron GT charges through a Type 2 socket, and every version of it, quattro, S, RS and RS performance, carries the same 11 kW onboard charger. Trim level changes nothing about charging. What does change is the size of the battery underneath. Cars built between 2021 and 2024 hold 83.7 kWh of usable capacity. The 2024 revision raised that to 97 kWh usable across the S, the RS and the RS performance, and left the charger alone. The newer car therefore takes proportionally longer on the same cable rather than charging any faster. The 11 kW figure deserves an explanation, because it is a three phase rating and British houses are wired single phase. Single phase tops out at 7.4 kW, so on your own driveway the car will draw 7.4 kW through a 32A single phase cable no matter what the brochure quotes. That is a property of the electricity supply, not a shortcoming of the car or the lead. This is one of the few cars we sell cables for where the three phase 22 kW version genuinely earns its price. Plugged into a three phase AC post, the kind found at workplaces, hotels and destination car parks, it allows the Audi to take its full 11 kW. On the 83.7 kWh battery that is about eight and a half hours from empty rather than nearly thirteen. On the 97 kWh car it is around ten hours rather than close to fifteen. The cable is rated well above what the Audi will ever request, so the car stays in charge of the pace. Buy it if you park somewhere with three phase AC often enough to notice. If you only ever charge at home, it behaves exactly like the cheaper 32A lead. For home charging the 32A single phase cable is the right purchase and the one most owners choose. The 16A cable delivers 3.7 kW, roughly half as much, which pushes a full charge past a day on either battery. It is worth considering only when the charge point itself is restricted to 16A. The 3 pin cable is an emergency item on a car this size rather than a charging method. At 2.3 kW you would need the better part of two days from empty, so keep one in the boot for an unexpected night away and plan around the Type 2 cables for everything else. Audi e-tron GT Charging Cable FAQs Which cable does the Audi e-tron GT need? A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. For home use choose the 32A single phase version, which gives the car the full 7.4 kW a British house can supply. That fills the 83.7 kWh battery in about twelve and three quarter hours, or the later 97 kWh pack in roughly fourteen and three quarter hours. Is the 22 kW three phase cable worth buying? On this car, yes, provided you use three phase AC posts. The Audi accepts 11 kW, and only a three phase cable can hand it that. It cuts the 83.7 kWh car from nearly thirteen hours to about eight and a half. At home, where the supply is single phase, it offers nothing extra. Why does it charge at 7.4 kW at home? Because UK houses are supplied with single phase electricity, which cannot exceed 7.4 kW however capable the car is. The e-tron GT's 11 kW rating assumes three phase power. Nothing is faulty, and a more expensive cable will not change it. Your driveway charge is set by the incoming supply. How long does an e-tron GT take to charge? From empty on a 32A cable at home, about twelve and three quarter hours for the 2021 to 2024 car and fourteen and three quarter for the 2024 onwards 97 kWh version. On a three phase post at the full 11 kW those fall to roughly eight and a half and ten hours. Does the RS need a different cable? No. The RS, the S, the RS performance and the standard quattro all share one 11 kW onboard charger and one Type 2 socket, so a single 32A cable covers the whole range. Battery size is the only variable: 83.7 kWh usable up to 2024, and 97 kWh usable afterwards. What length cable suits an e-tron GT? Five metres is plenty when the car sits beside a wallbox on the same wall. Ten metres suits a longer driveway, a shared bay or a post reached from an angle. We also stock 15m and 20m in the 32A single phase cable for houses where the parking is a long walk away.

A charging cable for the Kia EV6, covering the 77.4 kWh cars built from 2021 to 2024, the 84 kWh facelift from 2024, and the 63 kWh Air Standard Range added in May 2025. Every EV6 takes AC power through a Type 2 inlet, so the lead is a Type 2 to Type 2. Kia gives the onboard charger a maximum of 10.5 kW on all versions, which is a three phase figure. A UK home supply is single phase, so the car draws at most 7.4 kW at a house and the 32A single phase cable delivers that in full, taking a 77.4 kWh EV6 from empty in about 11 hours 15 minutes. Lengths are 5 and 10 metres, with 15 and 20 metres in the 32A single phase cable. Built to IEC 62196-2 and CE certified, IP55 sealed, rated from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. There are two entirely different cars called Ford Explorer, and only one of them plugs in. The electric Ford Explorer, built in Cologne from 2024 and sold across Europe, has an 11 kW onboard charger and a Type 2 inlet. The American Ford Explorer is a large petrol SUV with no charging socket anywhere on it. If you are on this page for a European electric Explorer, everything below applies. The surprise for most owners is the size: at 4.468 metres it is one of the shortest electric SUVs on sale, which makes cable length easier here than on almost any rival. The electric Explorer takes a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable, with the flap on the offside rear quarter, behind the driver's door. Every UK version is fully electric, so there is no trim in the range without a socket. Get the 32A single phase cable for home charging. The 11 kW figure is a three phase rating, and a British house is fed by a single phase carrying up to 7.4 kW, which is what the Explorer will draw on a domestic wallbox. Add the 32A three phase lead only if you have access to three genuine phases at a workplace or commercial unit, where an Extended Range car falls from 11 hours 45 minutes to 8 hours. The 16A cable costs more than it saves here. On the Standard Range battery nine hours of charging turns into eighteen for the sake of thirteen pounds, and on Extended Range it goes past twenty three hours. The 3-pin cable belongs in the boot, not on the driveway. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable manages 2.3 kW from a 13 amp house socket, about 11 miles an hour, which is a long way from a full charge but enough to add eighty or ninety miles over a night away from home. Our guide explains what to expect from a household socket. Its sister car under the skin is covered on the Ford Capri charging cable page, and the smaller electric Ford on the Ford Puma Gen-E charging cable page. Everything for the marque is in Ford EV charging cables, and our guide to IP ratings covers the sealing figures used below. UK delivery is free on the next working day, and a 2 year manufacturer's warranty applies to every lead. Each is built to IEC 62196 Type 2 and carries CE certification, works between -30C and +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin, and is sealed to IP55 on the Type 2 to Type 2 cables and IP67 on the Type 2 to 3-Pin. Charge times move by minutes either way. Low temperatures and fast cruising each reduce what an hour actually returns. Ford Explorer Charging Cable FAQs Which charging cable does the electric Ford Explorer need? Get the 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. The electric Ford Explorer is rated at 11 kW three phase, which a British house converts to 7.4 kW, and that cable hands over every watt the car can take at home. Is this the same Explorer as the American one? No. The electric Ford Explorer is built in Cologne on a European platform and went on sale in 2024. The North American Ford Explorer is a large petrol SUV with no charging socket at all. They share a name and nothing else, so no cable on this site fits the American car. Do I need the 22kW cable for a Ford Explorer? Only if you charge somewhere with three genuine phases, such as a workplace or an industrial unit, where an Extended Range Explorer drops from 11 hours 45 minutes to 8 hours. On a house the three phase cable delivers precisely the same 7.4 kW as the cheaper 32A single phase one. How long does a Ford Explorer take to charge at home? On a 32A cable, reckon on 8 hours 45 minutes to fill the 58 kWh Standard Range from flat, 11 hours 45 minutes for the Extended Range rear wheel drive, and 12 hours for the all wheel drive. Seven hours on a cheap overnight tariff puts back roughly 250 miles on the Extended Range cars. What length of cable suits a Ford Explorer? At 4.468 metres this is a short SUV, and the flap is on the offside rear quarter, so 5m reaches on most driveways where you reverse in with the wallbox on the driver's side. The 10m is for kerbside charging, a shared drive, or a unit mounted up by the house. Can I use my own cable at a public charger? Yes, and on AC you have little choice. Untethered posts dominate British streets and car parks, so the socket is bare and the driver brings the lead. Rapid CCS charging is different, because the charger has its own cable permanently attached.

    Peugeot e-2008 Charging Cable

Every Peugeot e-2008 takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and for almost every owner the 32A single phase version is the one to order. It draws the full 7.4 kW a UK home supply can provide, which is also the standard onboard charger rating on the car, so cable and vehicle match exactly. Battery size is the only thing that changes the timings. Cars from the 2020 launch until mid 2023 use the 50 kWh pack, 46.3 kWh of it usable, and need about 7 hours from empty at 7.4 kW. In June 2023 Peugeot fitted the larger 54 kWh pack, 50.8 kWh usable, alongside the step from 136hp to 156hp, and that car takes roughly 7 hours 45 minutes. Because the change came about two years before the e-208 received the same pack, a 2023 or 2024 e-2008 is very likely the longer range car. An 11 kW three phase charger sat on the options list throughout, and it was fitted as standard only on the 54 kWh First Edition. It is a three phase rating, so it does nothing on a normal UK home supply. If you have that car and use three phase posts, the 32A three phase cable brings a full charge down to around 5 hours 15 minutes. Everyone else should ignore it and buy the standard 32A cable. The 16A cable works but is slow for a battery this size, at about 14 hours 15 minutes on the 50 kWh car. The Type 2 to 3 Pin cable is a backup for nights away from a charge point and needs the best part of a day. Note that the PureTech petrol, the BlueHDi diesel and the 48V Hybrid versions of the 2008 have no charging socket and take no cable. Pick 5m for a wallbox beside the parking space and 10m for anything further away. Type 2 to Type 2 cables are IP55, Type 2 to 3 Pin cables are IP67, and every cable comes with free next working day UK delivery and a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and the 32A single phase version for nearly everyone. The standard onboard charger is 7.4 kW and a UK home supply delivers 7.4 kW, so the 32A cable is a perfect match. Expect about 7 hours from empty on the 50 kWh car. How do I tell a 50 kWh e-2008 from a 54 kWh one? Date and power output. Cars registered from launch to mid 2023 have the 50 kWh pack and 136hp. From June 2023 Peugeot moved to 54 kWh and 156hp, roughly two years earlier than the same change on the e-208, so most 2023 and 2024 cars are the larger battery. Is the three phase cable worth it? Only if your car has the optional 11 kW charger, standard solely on the 54 kWh First Edition, and only where a three phase supply exists. It cuts a full charge to about 5 hours 15 minutes on the 54 kWh car. At home in the UK the supply is single phase, so it changes nothing. Can I use a 16A cable instead? Yes, and it will charge the car, but at 3.7 kW rather than 7.4 kW. That is roughly 14 hours 15 minutes on the 50 kWh e-2008 and 15 hours 30 minutes on the 54 kWh version. It is a reasonable spare to keep in the boot, not the cable to rely on. Does the petrol 2008 use the same cable? No. The PureTech petrol, the BlueHDi diesel and the 48V Hybrid have no charging socket, so none of these cables will fit. Only the e-2008, the fully electric version, plugs in. If your car has no charging inlet it cannot use anything sold on this page. Which length should I order? 5m if the charge point is close to the car and the parking position never changes. 10m if you park across a drive, kerbside, or need the cable to reach round the car at a public post. Buy the shortest length that reaches comfortably, since longer cables are heavier.

    Range Rover Vogue Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

If you have just collected a used Range Rover and the seller kept the charging lead, this is the one to order: a Type 2 to Type 2 32A cable. Every plug-in Range Rover charges on AC at 7 kW, and a 32A cable carries more than that, so it never becomes the limit. The 5m and 10m versions both do the job. First, check that your car plugs in at all. Vogue is a trim level, not a model, so the badge on the tailgate is what counts. Land Rover uses a lower case e to mark a plug-in hybrid. A P400e, P440e, P460e, P510e or P550e charges. A P530, P615, D300 or D350 does not, because those are either mild hybrid or straight combustion with no charging port anywhere on the car. Beyond that, there are two very different plug-in Range Rovers and the difference is enormous. The L405 P400e, built from 2018 to 2021, carries 13.1 kWh gross. Land Rover never published a usable figure for it, and it has no rapid charging at all, so the Type 2 socket is the only way in. On a 32A cable it fills in roughly two hours, which is one of the quickest full charges you will find on any plug-in. The L460, from 2022 onwards, is a far more serious machine. Its battery holds 31.8 kWh usable from 38.2 kWh gross, nearly three times the older car, and it takes about five hours to fill on a 7 kW supply. It also has CCS rapid charging at 50 kW, quoted at 40 minutes to 80 per cent, which is rare on a plug-in hybrid. Rapid units carry their own tethered lead, so that has no bearing on what you buy here. Skip the three phase cable. Both cars cap AC charging at 7 kW, so the extra conductors sit idle, and a UK home supply is single phase anyway. The 16A cable is a step backwards too, turning the L460's five hour charge into nearly ten. A Type 2 to 3 Pin lead is worth keeping in the boot for hotels and family driveways. Type 2 to Type 2 cables are IP55, Type 2 to 3 Pin cables are IP67, and all carry a 2 year manufacturer's warranty with free next working day UK delivery. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, ideally 32A. Every plug-in Range Rover accepts 7 kW on AC, and a 32A lead carries that comfortably, so the car reaches its own ceiling. The same cable fits the older L405 P400e and every L460 from 2022 onwards without any adapter. Does my Range Rover Vogue actually plug in? Vogue is a trim level, so look at the engine badge instead. A lower case e means a plug-in hybrid: P400e, P440e, P460e, P510e and P550e all charge. A P530, P615, D300 or D350 has no charging port and cannot use a cable, since those are mild hybrid or conventional engines. How long does a Range Rover P550e take to charge? About 5 hours from empty on a 7 kW supply, since the L460 holds 31.8 kWh usable. A 16A cable stretches that to roughly 9 hours 45 minutes and a three pin lead to about 15 hours 30 minutes. The older 13.1 kWh L405 P400e is far quicker at around 2 hours. Is a 32A cable worth it over a 16A one? Yes on these cars. The 7 kW onboard charger needs a 32A cable to work at full speed, and a 16A lead caps you at 3.7 kW. That turns the L460's five hour charge into nearly ten hours, and the L405's two hour charge into four. The price difference is small. Can my Range Rover use a rapid charger? Only the L460 from 2022 onwards, which has a CCS socket rated at 50 kW and quoted at 40 minutes to 80 per cent. The earlier L405 P400e has no rapid charging at all. Either way, rapid units come with their own attached lead, so it does not change which cable you buy. What length cable suits a Range Rover? Ten metres is the safer choice on a car this long, especially if you park nose in on a driveway or use bays where the post sits behind you. Five metres works when the wallbox is mounted close to the parking space. We also stock 15 metre and 20 metre 32A cables.

The Honda e takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and 32A is the one to buy. Its onboard charger is rated at 6.6 kW, so a 16A cable at 3.7 kW would hold the car back by nearly four hours on a full charge. There is no sense in saving the small difference in price. Battery size is where this car gets misunderstood. The Honda e is quoted almost everywhere as a 35.5 kWh car, but that is the gross figure. Usable capacity is about 28.5 kWh, which is why real world range falls short of the headline. Working from 28.5 kWh, a 32A cable fills the car from empty in roughly 5 hours. A 16A cable needs about 8 hours 45 minutes. A three phase cable is wasted money here. The 6.6 kW onboard charger is the limit, so plugging into a 22 kW post changes nothing whatsoever. Buy the 32A single phase cable and put the difference towards the longer length instead. Honda's later electric car, the e:Ny1, is a different proposition. It carries 61.9 kWh usable behind an 11 kW charger, so a 32A cable gives 7.4 kW at home and about 9 hours 30 minutes from empty. On a three phase post the 11 kW charger cuts that to roughly 6 hours 15 minutes, and that is the only Honda where a three phase cable does anything useful. The CR-V e:PHEV is the one plug-in hybrid Honda currently sells. It has a 17.7 kWh battery and a 6.8 kW charger, and a full charge takes about 2 hours 30 minutes on a 32A cable. Everything else wearing an e:HEV badge, so the Jazz, Civic, HR-V, ZR-V and CR-V Full Hybrid, is self charging. Those cars have no charging port and nothing here will connect to them. Honda sells the CR-V in both forms, so look for a charging flap before you order. Pick 5m when the charge point sits beside the car and 10m for anything further away or for public posts. Our Type 2 to Type 2 cables are IP55 rated, our 3 pin cables are IP67, and both come with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and we would fit a 32A one. The Honda e has a 6.6 kW onboard charger, so 32A lets it take everything it can accept. From empty, the 28.5 kWh usable battery reaches full in about 5 hours. Both 5m and 10m suit the car equally well. Is a 16A cable enough for the Honda e? It works, but it slows you down. A 16A cable delivers 3.7 kW against the 6.6 kW the Honda e can accept, so a full charge stretches from around 5 hours to about 8 hours 45 minutes. Given how small the price gap is between 16A and 32A, the 32A cable is the sensible buy. How long does the Honda e take to charge at home? About 5 hours from empty on a 32A cable, based on 28.5 kWh usable and the 6.6 kW onboard charger. A 16A cable needs roughly 8 hours 45 minutes. The 3 pin lead at 2.3 kW takes around 14 hours, so treat that as a top up rather than a full charge. Is the Honda e really a 35.5kWh car? Not in practice. 35.5 kWh is the gross figure printed in the brochure. The battery gives you about 28.5 kWh once the protective buffer is taken out, and that smaller number is what governs charging time. Every figure on this page is worked from 28.5 kWh so the times match the car. Does the Honda Jazz or Civic e:HEV need a cable? No. Every e:HEV model, which covers the Jazz, Civic, HR-V, ZR-V and CR-V Full Hybrid, charges its battery from the engine and has no charging port. Only the CR-V e:PHEV plugs in, and Honda sells the CR-V both ways. Look for a charging flap before you order anything. What cable does the Honda e:Ny1 need? The same Type 2 to Type 2 cable at 32A. The e:Ny1 holds 61.9 kWh usable behind an 11 kW charger, so a home supply gives 7.4 kW and about 9 hours 30 minutes from empty. If you regularly use three phase posts, the 22kW cable unlocks 11 kW and roughly 6 hours 15 minutes.

    Hyundai Ioniq 5 Charging Cable

Almost every listing you will read says the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has an 11 kW onboard charger. Hyundai's own UK specification documents say 10.5 kW, and they have said so on every model year since 2021. The figure appears in the launch press pack, the 2023 update, the 2024 facelift pricing sheet and the specification guide on Hyundai's site today. It is the same on the Ioniq 5 N. In practice the difference changes nothing about which cable you buy, because a 16 amp three phase lead covers both, but it is worth knowing that the number on this page comes from Hyundai and the one on most other pages does not. Every Hyundai Ioniq 5 charges through a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. Hyundai puts the flap on the offside rear quarter, roughly where a fuel filler sits on a petrol car. The same flap houses the CCS pins for rapid charging. For home, the 32A single phase cable is the one to order. The 10.5 kW figure describes three phases feeding the building. A British house has one of them, so the Ioniq 5 settles at 7.4 kW on a domestic wallbox and the 32A lead carries all of it. Hyundai prints both figures in its own charging tables, a 10.5 kW three phase row and a 7.2 kW single phase row, which tells you plainly which one applies at home. The 32A three phase version becomes useful once you have somewhere with three genuine phases to plug into, since an 84 kWh car then falls from 12 hours 45 minutes to 9 hours. The 16A cable is a false economy on any Ioniq 5. On the 84 kWh battery, thirteen hours becomes twenty six, which is two nights instead of one. Keep a household socket lead with the car regardless. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable provides 2.3 kW from an ordinary wall socket, roughly 10 miles an hour, so it will not fill an 84 kWh pack but it will turn a night parked somewhere without a chargepoint into eighty miles. Our guide covers what a domestic socket really gives you. Do not confuse this car with the original Hyundai Ioniq hatchback, which is covered on the Hyundai Ioniq charging cable page and includes a version with no charging socket at all. The saloon relative is at Hyundai Ioniq 6 charging cable. Both sit in Hyundai EV charging cables. The sealing grades quoted below are covered in our guide to IP ratings. Sealing is IP55 on the Type 2 to Type 2 leads and IP67 on the Type 2 to 3-Pin. They are built to IEC 62196 Type 2, CE certified, rated from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin, covered by a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and delivered free on the next working day anywhere in the UK. Hyundai labels the 63 and 84 kWh figures as useable, while third party data puts the larger pack nearer 80, so treat the longest times as approximate. The recovery column shrinks in cold weather and at a steady 70. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Charging Cable FAQs What cable should a Hyundai Ioniq 5 owner buy? The 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the right home buy for every Hyundai Ioniq 5, on all four battery sizes and including the N. It delivers the 7.4 kW a British house can supply, which is the ceiling on a domestic wallbox no matter what the car is rated at. Is the Hyundai Ioniq 5 10.5kW or 11kW on AC? Hyundai UK publishes 10.5 kW, in the launch specification, the 2023 update, the 2024 facelift pricing sheet and the current specification guide. Several databases and retailers print 11 kW instead. A 16 amp three phase cable covers either figure, so the practical answer does not change, but 10.5 kW is what the manufacturer states. Will a three phase cable speed up a Hyundai Ioniq 5? Only where three genuine phases exist, such as a workplace or a 22 kW public post. There an 84 kWh Ioniq 5 comes down from 12 hours 45 minutes to 9 hours. On a house it delivers exactly what the cheaper 32A single phase lead delivers, because the supply rather than the cable is the limit. How long does a Hyundai Ioniq 5 take to charge at home? On a 32A cable it is about 12 hours 45 minutes to fill the 84 kWh car from flat, 11 hours 45 minutes for the 77.4 kWh and 9 hours 30 minutes for the 63 kWh. Hardly anyone plugs in with nothing left, and seven hours on a night tariff is worth around 220 miles on the big battery. What length of cable does a Hyundai Ioniq 5 need? The flap is on the offside rear quarter of a 4.655 metre car. A 5m lead works on a drive where the car sits nose first and the wallbox is towards the rear on the driver's side. Reverse in, or put the unit near the house, and the lead has to travel the length of the car, which is 10m territory. The Ioniq 5 N is 60 mm longer and charges in the same place. Does a Hyundai Ioniq 5 need its own cable for public AC charging? Yes it does. Untethered posts across Britain present a bare Type 2 socket and leave the lead to the driver, so one cable serves both home and away. Rapid CCS charging uses the charger's own attached cable and needs nothing from the boot.

Volkswagen publishes two different AC charging figures for the ID.7 and both of them are correct, which is why owners get conflicting answers. Every UK ID.7 has an 11 kW three phase onboard charger as standard, on the Pro, the Pro S and the GTX, in saloon and Tourer form, in every model year. VW's own Tourer press pack also prints 7.2 kW single phase, and that is not a second, slower charger. It is the same unit measured on one phase, which is what a British house provides. So the car is an 11 kW car that behaves as a 7.2 kW car on your driveway. The ID.7 takes a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable, and it has a combined CCS socket where the Type 2 section sits on top and the two DC pins sit below, so a Type 2 cable engages only the upper part. That is normal and it is why the aperture looks larger than the plug. Order the 32A single phase lead for home. One phase is what a domestic supply carries, and it delivers around 7.4 kW, which is everything the ID.7 can take there. The 32A three phase cable is the one that unlocks the full 11 kW, and it only does so at a workplace or a 22 kW public AC post with three genuine phases, where a 77 kWh Pro drops from 11 hours 45 minutes to 8 hours. Avoid the 16A cable on this car. It holds the ID.7 to 3.7 kW, so an 86 kWh Pro S needs 26 hours 15 minutes instead of 13 hours 15 minutes, and the miles recovered each hour halve from 37 to 19. Worth keeping a domestic socket lead in the boot as well. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable works at 2.3 kW from an ordinary 13 amp outlet, around 11 miles an hour, which will never fill a battery this size but does turn an unplanned overnight stop into eighty or ninety miles. Our guide sets out what a household socket returns. The rest of the ID range has its own figures and its own pages, including the Volkswagen ID.4 charging cable, the Volkswagen ID.3 charging cable and the Volkswagen ID. Buzz charging cable. Do not assume they match, because the smaller ID.3 and ID.4 batteries are where VW's genuinely single phase 7.2 kW charger lives. Everything is listed in Volkswagen EV charging cables. For what the sealing figures below keep out, read our guide to IP ratings. Every lead here is manufactured to IEC 62196 Type 2 with CE certification and works from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. Type 2 to Type 2 cables are sealed to IP55 and the Type 2 to 3-Pin to IP67. A 2 year manufacturer's warranty applies throughout, and UK delivery is free on the next working day. The 86 kWh above is the correct one. Note also that the 32A single phase row uses 7.4 kW, the figure a British supply delivers, while VW quotes 7.2 kW from the car's side, a difference of about fifteen minutes on a full charge. A cold week or a run of motorway miles will cost more than that. Volkswagen ID.7 Charging Cable FAQs What charging cable does a Volkswagen ID.7 need? For charging at home, the 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable is the one to order. A Volkswagen ID.7 carries an 11 kW three phase charger, but a British house supplies one phase, so the car draws about 7.4 kW on a domestic wallbox and this lead carries all of it. Is the ID.7 7.2kW or 11kW? Both, and they describe the same car. Volkswagen fits an 11 kW three phase onboard charger to every UK ID.7, and its own literature also quotes 7.2 kW because that is what the charger delivers on a single phase. Since almost every British home is single phase, 7.2 kW is the figure you will actually see on a driveway. Does any Volkswagen ID.7 have a slower charger? No. Every ID.7 trim and both bodystyles have the same 11 kW unit, and it was never an option to be ticked. The genuinely single phase 7.2 kW charger that some people remember belongs to smaller-battery versions of the ID.3 and ID.4, not to the ID.7. How long does a Volkswagen ID.7 take to charge at home? Around 11 hours 45 minutes from empty for the 77 kWh Pro on a 32A cable, and 13 hours 15 minutes for the 86 kWh Pro S and GTX. These are big batteries, so most owners top up overnight rather than fill, and seven hours on a night tariff is worth roughly 260 miles on the Pro S. What length of cable does a Volkswagen ID.7 need? The charging flap is on the offside rear quarter and the car is 4.96 metres long, saloon and Tourer alike, which is the least convenient combination there is. A 5m lead only works if you reverse onto the drive with the wallbox behind the car on the driver's side. For nose-in parking, a kerbside post, or a unit mounted near the house, order the 10m. Will a Type 2 cable fit the ID.7's large socket? Yes. The Volkswagen ID.7 uses a combined CCS inlet, where the round Type 2 section sits above two larger DC pins. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable plugs into the upper section only, and the lower pins are used solely by rapid chargers, which bring their own cable.

An AC charging cable for the Kia EV3, fitting both the 58.3 kWh Standard Range and the 81.4 kWh Long Range. Both use a Type 2 inlet, so a Type 2 to Type 2 cable fits either battery, and a Type 2 to 3-Pin cable is stocked as a backup lead. Both versions accept a maximum of 11kW on a three phase supply and 7.4kW on single phase. A UK home supply is single phase, so the car draws at most 7.4kW at home, and the 32A single phase cable delivers that in full, filling the Standard Range in about 8 hours 30 minutes and the Long Range in about 12 hours. The Lexus RZ is the rare car where the expensive cable is genuinely the right one. Every 2026 Lexus RZ 350e, 500e and 550e has a 22 kW onboard charger as standard, replacing the 11 kW unit fitted to the earlier RZ 450e and RZ 300e. Lexus spells out what that needs in its own footnote: an AC charger with a three phase supply of 32 amps or greater. Almost nothing else we sell for can use a 32A three phase cable to its full capacity. This one can. Every RZ charges through a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable, which Lexus names directly in its own specification as a Type 2 Mennekes inlet. The charging flap sits on the nearside front wing, so the lead comes in at the kerb-side front corner. At home, the 32A single phase cable is still the right buy, because one phase is all a domestic supply carries and 7.4 kW is where that stops, regardless of what the car could accept. The 22 kW headline only means anything where three real phases arrive. If you charge at a workplace or use 22 kW public AC posts, the 32A three phase cable takes a 2026 RZ from 11 hours 45 minutes to 4 hours. A 16 amp three phase lead would leave half that capability unused, which is the one place on this site where the heavier cable is not an upsell but a requirement. The 16A single phase cable undoes the whole point of a 22 kW car, stretching a full charge to 23 hours 30 minutes and halving the miles put back each hour. There is still a case for the domestic socket lead. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable carries 2.3 kW from a normal household outlet, roughly 11 miles an hour, which is a slow way to fill 77 kWh but a fast way to rescue an unplanned overnight stop. Our guide sets out what a house socket returns. Lexus plug-in hybrids charge far more slowly and are covered on the Lexus NX 450h+ charging cable page, while the older electric hatchback is at Lexus UX 300e charging cable. The full set appears under Lexus EV charging cables. If you want to know what the IP figures below are actually protecting against, our IP ratings guide covers it. CE certification against IEC 62196 Type 2 applies to every lead here, with an operating range of -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. The Type 2 to Type 2 cables are rated IP55, the Type 2 to 3-Pin is IP67, all of it carries a 2 year manufacturer's warranty, and UK delivery is free on the next working day. A 2026 Lexus RZ 350e, 500e or 550e has a 22 kW charger and needs a 32A three phase cable to use all of it. An RZ 450e or RZ 300e from 2023 to 2025 has an 11 kW charger. Both take the same 32A single phase cable at home, where the supply rather than the car sets the limit. Is the 22kW cable worth buying for a Lexus RZ? On a 2026 RZ, yes, if you have three phase access. It is the only car we sell for where a 32A three phase cable is the difference between using the onboard charger fully and using half of it, taking a full charge from 11 hours 45 minutes to 4 hours. Lexus itself specifies a 32 amp three phase supply for the 22 kW figure. Does the 22kW charger help at home? No. Domestic supplies in Britain carry one phase and stop at 7.4 kW, so a 2026 Lexus RZ charges at exactly the same speed on a home wallbox as the older 11 kW cars did. The 22 kW capability only appears at a workplace or a 22 kW public AC post. Is the Lexus RZ really only 6.6kW on AC? No, and that figure should be ignored on a UK car. Some databases publish 6.6 kW single phase for the RZ 450e, which is the North American specification. Lexus UK's own technical documents state 11 kW three phase for the RZ 450e and RZ 300e, and 22 kW for the 2026 range. What length of cable does a Lexus RZ need? The charging flap is on the nearside front wing of a 4.805 metre car, so 5m works when you park nose in with the wallbox on the passenger side. Anything else on a car this long, and the lead has to run around the nose or down the far flank, which is where 10m is the safer order. Does a Lexus RZ come with a charging cable? Lexus lists a Type 2 Mode 3 32 amp cable and a 3-pin 10 amp cable as standard equipment on the RZ. Owners still buy a second lead for length, for a spare to leave at work, or because the supplied cable is single phase rated and cannot deliver the 22 kW the 2026 car is capable of.

Buy the 32A single phase cable in 10m. That is the right answer for the large majority of drivers, and everything below is the short version of why. A British home is fed by one phase, and one phase carries 7.4 kW. The 32A single phase cable passes all of it, so it gives the fastest charge any driveway in the country can deliver, and it stays correct when you change car. 10m costs £22 more than 5m and covers a car parked the wrong way round, a wallbox on the far wall, or a second car on the drive. That is the £22 people most often wish they had spent. Two exceptions. Buy 16A if your car's own AC limit is 3.6 or 3.7 kW, which is common on plug-in hybrids like the Ford Kuga and Outlander, because a 32A cable will not charge those cars any faster. Buy 32A three phase only if three live phases reach the socket you use, which at a house they do not. Check your car in the Compatibility tab before you order. Worried about buying too much cable? Do not be. Charging settles at the lowest of three limits, the car, the charge point and the cable, so a 32A lead on a 16A post simply runs at 16A. Nothing to switch, nothing at risk, and the cable is not the bottleneck the day anything else improves. Cable Speed Price Best for 5m, 16A 3.7 kW £124.99 Plug-in hybrids capped at 3.6 kW, wallbox close by 5m, 32A 7.4 kW £137.99 Wallbox on the same side as the charging flap 5m, 32A three phase 22 kW £162.99 Three phase supplies only 10m, 16A 3.7 kW £156.99 Plug-in hybrids that need more reach 10m, 32A 7.4 kW £178.99 The one most people should buy 10m, 32A three phase 22 kW £202.99 Three phase supplies, longer reach 15m, 32A 7.4 kW £275.00 Detached garages and long drives 20m, 32A 7.4 kW £349.00 Shared bays and posts well away from the car Built to IEC 62196-2 Type 2, CE certified, IP55 sealed and rated from -30C to +50C, so it lives outdoors all year. See the Type 1 range for older Leafs and Outlanders, or the Type 2 to 3-Pin granny cable for charging from a household socket. Need to reach past 20m? Use the Type 2 extension cable rather than joining two leads. Looking for your own car? The Type 2 charging cable collection lists every model we cover. Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable FAQs Which Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable should I buy? The 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable in 10m suits most people. It carries the full 7.4 kW a British home supply can deliver, and 10m reaches where 5m does not. Drop to 16A only if your car's own AC limit is 3.6 or 3.7 kW. What is the difference between a 16A and a 32A Type 2 cable? Speed. A 16A Type 2 cable passes up to 3.7 kW and a 32A one up to 7.4 kW, so on a car that can use it the 32A halves the charge time. The conductor is thicker too, 6mm squared against 2.5mm squared. If your car caps out at 3.7 kW both cables charge it at the same rate. Can I use a 32A Type 2 cable on a lower rated charge point? Yes. Charging settles at the lowest of the three limits in play, so a 32A Type 2 cable on a 16A post delivers 16A and on a 7.4 kW wallbox delivers 7.4 kW. Nothing needs switching and nothing is at risk. Do I need the 22kW three-phase Type 2 cable? Only where three phase power actually reaches the socket, which at a British house it does not. On a single phase supply a 22kW Type 2 cable delivers the same 7.4 kW as the cheaper 32A single phase lead. It earns its price at a workplace or an untethered 22 kW post, and only if your car accepts more than 7.4 kW on AC. What length Type 2 charging cable do I need? Measure from the charge point to your car's charging flap with the car parked where it genuinely ends up, following the route the cable takes around the vehicle. 5m works when the wallbox and the flap are on the same side, 10m is the safer choice for most homes, and 15m or 20m suit detached garages and distant posts. Will this cable fit my car? If your car has a Type 2 socket, yes. Type 2 is a standard, so any Type 2 cable physically fits any Type 2 car, and every UK electric and plug-in hybrid sold since about 2018 uses it. The Compatibility tab lists the common models with the charge speed each one accepts and the cable we recommend for it.

An AC charging cable for the BMW i4, fitting the 67 kWh eDrive35 and the 81.3 kWh eDrive40, xDrive40 and M60 xDrive. All use a Type 2 inlet, so a Type 2 to Type 2 cable fits every version, and a Type 2 to 3-Pin cable is stocked as a backup lead. Every version accepts a maximum of 11kW on a three phase supply and 7.4kW on single phase. A UK home supply is single phase, so the car draws at most 7.4kW at home, and the 32A single phase cable delivers that in full. Tesla Model 3 Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

A Tesla Model 3 charging cable is the least Tesla-specific thing about the car. On AC the Model 3 uses an ordinary Type 2 inlet and an 11 kW onboard charger, exactly like a Volkswagen or a Kia, and it has done since the first UK cars in 2019. Nothing about the badge changes which cable fits. This catches people out because Tesla does so much else differently. The connector on the car in North America is not the one fitted here. Every UK and European Model 3, including the Highland facelift from late 2023, has a Type 2 socket for AC, so a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable is correct for all of them. The 11 kW figure assumes three phases arriving together. UK houses have one phase, and Tesla's own charging documentation gives 7.4 kW at 32A on a single-phase 230V supply, which is what a home wallbox provides. Our 1-Phase, 32A cable carries that in full and is the right buy for a driveway. The 22 kW three-phase cable cannot lift a Model 3 above its own 11 kW, and behind a domestic supply it delivers the same 7.4 kW as the 32A does, so it only makes sense with a genuine three-phase feed at a workplace. Avoid the 16A cable on a car with this much battery. A 75 kWh Long Range Model 3 needs 23 hours at 3.7 kW, which is not an overnight charge by any definition, against 11 hours 30 minutes on the 32A. The gap in range recovered is just as stark, about 21 miles an hour rather than 42. Worth knowing about the lead in the boot: the Mobile Connector Tesla supplies is a three-pin lead, not a wallbox cable. It draws around 2.3 kW and is the equivalent of our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable, which is IP67 sealed and adds roughly 13 miles of range an hour. Many Model 3 owners discover on delivery day that they have no cable for the wallbox they just had fitted. Our note on charging from a household socket sets out what that lead can and cannot do. Tesla does not publish battery capacities, so the figures in the tables below are the best independent estimates rather than manufacturer numbers, and the charge times move with them. The Tesla Model Y uses the same onboard charger and the same inlet, and the Tesla charging cable range covers the rest. For how a cable holds up left outdoors, see our guide to IP ratings. IP55 on the Type 2 to Type 2 and IP67 on the Type 2 to 3-Pin, made to IEC 62196 Type 2, CE certified, usable from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin, with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. Winter weather and motorway speeds pull all of these numbers down. Tesla Model 3 Charging Cable FAQs Does a Tesla Model 3 use a Type 2 cable in the UK? Yes. Every Tesla Model 3 sold in the UK and Europe has a Type 2 inlet for AC charging, including the Highland facelift. The different connector people have read about is the North American one and it has never been fitted to a UK car, so a standard Type 2 to Type 2 cable is correct. What speed does a Tesla Model 3 charge at home? 7.4 kW, which is the ceiling of a single-phase British supply and matches Tesla's own published figure of 32A at 230 volts. A Tesla Model 3 will accept 11 kW where three phases are available, but no ordinary house can provide that, so the 32A single-phase cable is what delivers everything the car can get at home. Is the cable that came with the car enough? Not for a wallbox. The Mobile Connector supplied with a Tesla Model 3 is a three-pin lead for household sockets, running at about 2.3 kW, so it cannot connect to a Type 2 wallbox at all. Owners fitting a home charger need a separate Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and this catches a lot of people on delivery day. Would a 22kW cable charge a Tesla Model 3 faster? Not at a house. A Tesla Model 3 caps its AC intake at 11 kW, so the 22kW three-phase cable never delivers its full rating to this car, and on a single-phase supply it gives the same 7.4 kW as the cheaper 32A cable. It only pays where three phases genuinely reach the socket. How long does a Tesla Model 3 take to charge from empty? About 11 hours 30 minutes for a Long Range Tesla Model 3 on a 7.4 kW home wallbox, and about 8 hours 45 minutes for the Rear Wheel Drive car. Tesla does not publish battery capacities, so these are calculated from independent estimates and should be treated as close rather than exact. How long a charging cable does a Tesla Model 3 need? The inlet sits in the rear light cluster on the driver's side of a Tesla Model 3, so the best length depends entirely on which way you park. Reverse onto a drive with the wallbox on that side and 5m is generous. Nose in, or park with the offside against a wall or a fence, and the cable has to go round the car, which is where 10m stops being optional.

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

The e-Golf takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and the amperage you want depends entirely on the year. Volkswagen doubled the onboard charger at the 2017 facelift, from 3.6 kW to 7.2 kW, and grew the battery by half at the same time. One badge, two quite different cars.A 2014 to 2017 e-Golf has a 24.2 kWh pack, about 20.5 kWh of it usable, and will not pull more than 3.6 kW from anything you connect. A 16A cable meets that limit exactly. Fitting a 32A lead changes nothing on these cars, because the charger inside the car is the ceiling, not the cable outside it.The 2017 to 2020 facelift carries 35.8 kWh gross, 32 kWh usable, and accepts 7.2 kW. Here a 16A cable really does hold the car back. It caps you at 3.7 kW and stretches a full charge past nine and a half hours. Move to the 32A version and the same charge falls to about five. If you own the later car and intend to own one cable, make it the 32A one.Telling the two apart is straightforward. The facelift arrived in 2017 and is the version quoted at 35.8 kWh. If you are unsure which you have, the build date on the V5C and the quoted battery size settle it between them.We also stock a three phase 32A lead for drivers who use three phase workplace or destination posts. On a British home supply it delivers exactly what the single phase 32A cable delivers, because UK houses are single phase and 7.4 kW is the domestic ceiling. It is a sensible buy only if you regularly charge somewhere three phase is available. You may see the e-Golf described with a Type 1 socket. That was the North American car. Every UK e-Golf is Type 2, and a Type 1 lead will not fit one.Lengths run from 5m up to 20m. Five metres suits a wallbox sited beside the charge flap. Ten metres covers most driveways and shared bays. A 2014 to 2017 e-Golf accepts 3.6 kW, so 16A matches it and 32A adds nothing. A 2017 to 2020 facelift car accepts 7.2 kW, and there a 32A Type 2 to Type 2 cable cuts a full charge from about nine and three quarter hours down to five. How do I tell which e-Golf I have?Check the battery figure and the build date. The first car is quoted at 24.2 kWh gross, roughly 20.5 kWh usable, and charges at 3.6 kW. The facelift from 2017 is 35.8 kWh gross, 32 kWh usable, and charges at 7.2 kW. Your V5C build date will settle any doubt. How long does an e-Golf take to charge? The later 32 kWh car takes about five hours from empty on a 32A cable, or nine and three quarter hours on a 16A one. The earlier 20.5 kWh car needs roughly six and a half hours whatever cable you use, because 3.6 kW is its limit. A three pin plug is far slower again. Is a three phase cable any use in the UK?Only away from home. British houses are single phase, so a three phase 32A lead hands an e-Golf the same 7.2 kW as the single phase one, and a full charge still takes about five hours. Buy it if you regularly use three phase workplace or destination posts, not for your own driveway.Does the e-Golf use a Type 1 socket? Not in Britain. Both UK generations of the e-Golf use Type 2. The Type 1 listings you may come across belong to the North American version, which was never sold here. Order a Type 1 lead for a UK e-Golf and it will not enter the inlet, so stay with Type 2.What cable length should an e-Golf owner buy?Five metres is fine when the wallbox sits close to the charging flap. Ten metres covers reversing onto a drive, shared parking, and awkward public bays where the nearest space is taken. We also stock 15m and 20m for long runs. Every length carries a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.

The electric Macan does, and it takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable. Every electric Macan uses the same 100 kWh pack, 95 kWh of it usable, so the battery never decides the cable. The onboard charger does, and Porsche changed it for the 2026 model year. Cars up to the 2025 model year are 11 kW only, with no faster option available. From 2026 the Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S can be ordered with a 22 kW charger, and the GTS and Turbo have 22 kW as standard. At home the answer is the same for all of them. UK houses run on a single phase supply, so 7.4 kW is the ceiling whatever the car, and the 32A Type 2 to Type 2 cable reaches it. That is the one to buy. It refills 95 kWh in about 14 hours 30 minutes from empty, and far less than that from the state of charge most drivers plug in at. The 32A three phase cable earns its extra cost only on a 2026 GTS or Turbo, or a 2026 Macan with the 22 kW option, and only where three phase posts are available. Those cars finish in about 4 hours 45 minutes instead of 9 hours 45. On a 2024 or 2025 car the same cable still stops at the car's 11 kW limit. Plugged into a single phase home charger it behaves exactly like the standard 32A cable. The 16A cable is the cheaper option and the Type 2 to 3 Pin cable is for emergencies away from a charge point. With 95 kWh to fill, neither makes sense as a daily routine. Both Type 2 to Type 2 lengths are rated IP55 and the Type 2 to 3 Pin cable is IP67. Every cable ships with free next working day UK delivery and a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The 32A single phase version is the one to buy, because it draws the full 7.4 kW a UK home supply can give and fills the 95 kWh usable battery in about 14 hours 30 minutes. The petrol Macan has no charging port and takes no cable at all. Is the 22 kW three phase cable worth the extra money? Only for a 2026 GTS or Turbo, or a 2026 Macan ordered with the 22 kW charger, and only where three phase posts are available. Those cars drop from 9 hours 45 minutes to roughly 4 hours 45. On a 2024 or 2025 Macan the charger stops at 11 kW, so the extra spend gains nothing. How can I tell whether my Macan charges at 11 kW or 22 kW? Model year is the giveaway. Every electric Macan up to the 2025 model year is 11 kW with no upgrade path. From 2026 the GTS and Turbo carry 22 kW as standard, while the Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S only have it if the original buyer paid for the option. How long does a full charge take at home? About 14 hours 30 minutes from empty on a 7.4 kW home charge point with the 32A cable, because there is 95 kWh to refill. Every electric Macan returns the same figure, since a single phase supply caps all of them at 7.4 kW whatever their onboard charger is rated at. Does the petrol Macan take a charging cable? No. The petrol Macan has been on sale since 2014 and has no charging socket of any kind, so nothing on this page will fit it. Only the electric Macan, launched in 2024, plugs in. If your car has no charging socket, you do not need a cable from us. Should I buy the 5m or the 10m cable? Take the 5m if the charge point sits beside the parking space and you always park the same way round. Choose the 10m if you park across a drive, share a post at work, or need slack to reach a socket on the opposite side. Longer cables cost more and coil heavier.

Type 1 to Type 2 Charging Cable

A Type 1 to Type 2 charging cable connects an older electric car that has a Type 1 inlet to a Type 2 charge point, which is what every home wallbox and almost every public post in Britain uses. For most Type 1 cars the 16A version is the right buy, and that is unusual advice worth explaining. Type 1 is a single phase connector. It physically cannot carry three phases, so there is no 22 kW version of this cable and never will be. The ceiling is 7.4 kW on the 32A, and almost no Type 1 car can reach it: the i-MiEV, iOn, C-Zero, Ampera, Outlander PHEV and the standard Nissan Leaf all cap between 3.3 and 3.7 kW. On those cars the 16A delivers everything the car will take and the 32A charges no faster. Four cars justify the 32A: a Nissan Leaf with the optional 6.6 kW charger, an e-NV200 with the same option, the Ford Focus Electric and the Kia Soul EV of 2017 to 2019. If you are not sure which charger your Leaf has, the 32A cable still works perfectly on a 3.3 kW car, it simply costs £10 more than you needed to spend. One check before you order. A Type 1 inlet has five pins, a Type 2 has seven. Look at the socket on your car. The Nissan Leaf changed from Type 1 to Type 2 in 2018 and the Kia Soul changed in 2019, so the year matters as much as the badge. If yours is Type 2, you want the Type 2 to Type 2 cable instead. Cables come in 5m and 10m. Take 10m unless the charge point is on the same side of the car as the inlet and close to where you park. Type 1 to Type 2 Cable Options Cable Max Charge Rate Best for 5m 10m Type 1 to Type 2, 16A 3.7 kW Most Type 1 cars, which cap between 3.3 and 3.7 kW £130.99 £156.99 Type 1 to Type 2, 32A 7.4 kW, though no Type 1 car exceeds 6.6 kW Leaf or e-NV200 with the optional charger, Ford Focus Electric, Kia Soul EV £140.99 £172.99 Built to IEC 62196, CE certified, IP55 sealed and rated from -30C to +50C. Two year warranty, free next working day UK delivery and we price match any UK retailer. Type 1 to Type 2 Charging Cable FAQs Which Type 1 to Type 2 cable should I buy? The 16A suits most Type 1 cars, because the i-MiEV, iOn, C-Zero, Ampera, Outlander PHEV and standard Nissan Leaf all cap between 3.3 and 3.7 kW and cannot use more. Choose the 32A only for a Leaf or e-NV200 with the optional 6.6 kW charger, a Ford Focus Electric or a 2017 to 2019 Kia Soul EV. Is there a 22kW Type 1 charging cable? No, and there cannot be. Type 1 is a single phase connector with five pins, so 7.4 kW is the physical ceiling for the standard, and no Type 1 car sold in the UK accepts more than 6.6 kW anyway. Any listing offering a 22 kW Type 1 cable is describing something that does not exist. How do I tell if my car is Type 1 or Type 2? Count the pins in the car's socket. A Type 1 inlet has five, a Type 2 has seven and is flat along the top edge. Year matters too: the Nissan Leaf moved from Type 1 to Type 2 in 2018 and the Kia Soul in 2019, so two cars wearing the same badge can need different cables. Will a Type 1 to Type 2 cable work at a public charge point? Yes, at any untethered Type 2 post, which is the common kind in Britain. The Type 2 end plugs into the post and the Type 1 end into your car. It will not work at a post with its own cable already attached, because that cable will be Type 2 at both ends. What length Type 1 cable do I need? 5m is enough when the charge point is on the same side of the car as the inlet and close to where you park. 10m is the safer choice for a public bay, a wallbox on the opposite wall, or a car that has to reverse in. Measure the route the cable takes around the car rather than the straight line.

    Fiat 500e Charging Cable

Check the badge before you buy anything. Fiat sells two cars called 500 side by side and only one of them charges. The 500e is the electric one, on a newer body. The 500 Hybrid, sometimes badged Mild Hybrid, is a petrol car with a 48V system and no charging port at all. The 1.2 and TwinAir petrol 500 built from 2007 to 2024 has none either. This is the mistake we see most often. The 500e sold here from 2021 uses a Type 2 socket and an 11 kW onboard charger whichever battery it has, so there is nothing to look up. Eleven kilowatts is a three phase rating. On a single phase British supply the car settles at 7.4 kW, which is exactly what a 32A cable delivers. Battery size decides the wait, not the cable. The 24 kWh car holds 21.3 kWh usable and reaches full in about 3 hours 15 minutes at 7.4 kW. The 42 kWh car holds 37.3 kWh usable and needs about 5 hours 45 minutes. Action and similar trims use the smaller pack, while Icon and La Prima carry the larger one. There is a second, older car with the same name. The 500e sold in North America is quoted at 6.6 kW and uses Type 1 rather than Type 2. If yours is that car, the Type 1 cables listed on this page are the right fit. Type 1 is a five pin single phase connector, so no three phase version of it exists and 7.4 kW is its physical ceiling too. Both European batteries also support CCS rapid charging, at 50 kW on the 24 kWh car and 85 kW on the 42 kWh, which uses the charge point's own lead. The Abarth 500e and the larger Fiat 600e share the 500e's Type 2 socket and 11 kW charger. A 3 pin lead is genuinely useful on the smaller battery, needing about 10 hours 30 minutes from empty, which one night covers. The 42 kWh car takes over 18 hours on the same lead and is far better served by a wallbox. On length, 5m suits a small car parked alongside its charger. Take 10m for street parking, shared bays, or anywhere the car does not always stop in the same place. Every cable carries a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. Type 2 to Type 2 cables are IP55 rated and cables ending in a 3 pin plug are IP67. No. The 500 Hybrid, also badged Mild Hybrid, is a petrol car with a 48V system charged by its own engine, and it has no charging port. Neither does the 1.2 or TwinAir petrol 500 sold from 2007. Only a car badged 500e or Electric plugs in, so read the boot badge first. Which socket does the Fiat 500e use? The 500e sold here from 2021 uses Type 2, with an 11 kW onboard charger. A British home is single phase, so the car draws 7.4 kW there and fills the 21.3 kWh usable version in about 3 hours 15 minutes. The older North American 500e uses Type 1 instead. How long does a Fiat 500e take to charge? At 7.4 kW, about 3 hours 15 minutes for the 21.3 kWh usable car and about 5 hours 45 minutes for the 37.3 kWh usable one. A 16A cable stretches those to roughly 6 hours 30 minutes and 11 hours 30 minutes. A 3 pin lead needs 10 hours 30 minutes or 18 hours 15 minutes. Is my 500e the 24 kWh or the 42 kWh car? The badge states it, and trim is a reliable clue: Action and similar sit on 21.3 kWh usable, while Icon and La Prima carry 37.3 kWh usable. Both have the same 11 kW charger and the same Type 2 socket, so only the time on charge separates them, by roughly two and a half hours. What is the 6.6 kW Fiat 500e? That figure belongs to the older 500e sold in North America, not to the European car. It is a Type 1 vehicle rather than Type 2, which is why the cables on this page end in a Type 1 plug. Type 1 is a five pin single phase connector, so 7.4 kW is its physical limit. Which cable length suits a Fiat 500e? 5m reaches a wallbox on the wall the car parks beside, which suits something this small. 10m earns its place if you park on the street, share a bay with neighbours, or want enough slack to plug in whichever way round the 500e has been left that evening.

Check this before you order anything: the Citroen C-Zero does not take a Type 2 cable. Almost every EV charging lead sold in the UK is Type 2 to Type 2, and none of them will fit. The C-Zero needs a Type 1 to Type 2 cable, with the Type 1 plug on the car end. Buy the 16A one. The reason is the socket itself. Type 1 is a five pin connector in a round housing. Type 2 has seven pins and a flat top edge. They are not adapters of one another and one will not push into the other, which is where a lot of wasted deliveries come from on cars of this age. Underneath the badge this is a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MiEV, sold in Britain from 2011 to 2020 alongside its other twin, the Peugeot iOn. Later cars from 2016 changed nothing that matters here. Every one of them holds 14.5 kWh usable, which is tiny by current standards, and every one of them charges through the same small onboard charger. Published figures for that charger vary between roughly 3.3 kW and 3.7 kW depending on which source you read, so we quote both ends rather than pick one. Either way, 16A is the ceiling the car can reach. A 16A cable delivers 3.7 kW, so it already covers the highest figure anyone quotes. Our 32A version fits the same socket and is perfectly safe, but it cannot make the car pull more than its own charger allows, so it will not save you a minute. Nor is there a three phase choice to weigh up, since Type 1 is single phase by design and a three phase Type 1 cable has never existed. Expect somewhere between four and a half and five hours from empty on a wallbox. The three pin option is worth taking seriously on a car with this little battery. A Type 1 to 3 Pin lead runs at 2.3 kW and gets the pack from flat to full in about seven hours, which means a household socket is a workable everyday arrangement rather than a last resort. Both cable styles come in 5m and 10m. Type 1 to Type 2 leads are IP55, the Type 1 to 3 Pin lead is IP67, and everything ships with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. No, and this is the most common mistake made on this car. The C-Zero has a five pin Type 1 inlet, while a standard Type 2 plug has seven pins and simply will not enter it. You need a Type 1 to Type 2 lead, which puts Type 2 into the charge point and Type 1 into the car. Which amperage should a C-Zero owner buy? 16A. The onboard charger sits somewhere around 3.3 kW to 3.7 kW depending on the source, and a 16A cable already carries 3.7 kW, so it covers the highest published figure. The 32A version is compatible and safe, but with 14.5 kWh to fill the car finishes at the same time either way. How long does a Citroen C-Zero take to charge? Between about 4 hours 30 minutes and 5 hours from empty on a wallbox, the spread coming from the disagreement over whether the onboard charger is 3.3 kW or 3.7 kW. Filling 14.5 kWh through a three pin lead at 2.3 kW takes around 7 hours instead. Can I run a C-Zero on a household socket? Yes. With only 14.5 kWh to replace, a Type 1 to 3 Pin cable at 2.3 kW completes a full charge in roughly seven hours, so an overnight plug in a garage keeps the car going without a wallbox. Many C-Zero owners use one as their main method rather than a backup. Does a C-Zero cable fit the i-MiEV and iOn? Yes. The C-Zero is a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and Peugeot sold the same car as the iOn. All three share the 14.5 kWh battery and the Type 1 inlet, so one cable covers any of them. That matters if you bought your C-Zero used and it arrived without its original lead. Is 5m long enough for a C-Zero? Five metres reaches comfortably when the charge point is beside the parking space, and it coils away neatly in a car this size. Pick ten metres if you park on the street, share a driveway, or expect to use public posts where the bay position is out of your hands.

If your Partner is the 2013 to 2019 Partner Electric, this is your page. That van used Mitsubishi derived running gear and, on the evidence we have, carries a Type 1 AC inlet, so the cable to order is the Type 1 to Type 2 32A in 5m or the 10m. Sources are not unanimous about that connector, so look at the socket on your van before you order. Type 1 has five pins in a round housing with a latch on top. Type 2 has seven pins and one flat edge. Seven pins means you need a Type 2 to Type 2 cable instead. The e-Partner launched in late 2021 is a different vehicle. It takes Type 2, charges at 7.4 kW as standard with 11 kW listed as an option, and holds 46.3 kWh usable, rising to 50 kWh usable on the 2024 facelift. Nothing on this page fits it. Order from our Type 2 range instead. There has never been a plug-in hybrid Partner, and the BlueHDi and PureTech vans have no charging port at all. Back to the Partner Electric. Its onboard charger is around 3.3 kW and that number sets the ceiling. A cable cannot push more current than the van will accept, so the 16A and the 32A both deliver the same 3.3 kW here. Take the 32A anyway if a newer EV might join the fleet, because it is rated to 7.4 kW and costs only a little more. Britain runs single phase power at the kerb, so 7.4 kW is the domestic ceiling whatever the vehicle, and the 11 kW quoted for the e-Partner only appears on a three phase commercial post. Length matters more when the van sleeps in a yard than on a driveway. 5m is plenty when the charge post sits beside the bay. 10m covers a van reversed in, a post on the far wall, or a shared bay you cannot book. The Type 1 to Type 2 cables here are IP55 rated and the 3 pin units are IP67. All carry a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. The 2013 to 2019 Partner Electric takes a Type 1 to Type 2 cable, 32A, in 5m or 10m. Its onboard charger is around 3.3 kW, so that is what you will see at any post. Check the socket before ordering, because the evidence on this connector is not unanimous and a 2021 e-Partner needs Type 2 instead. How do I tell a Type 1 socket from a Type 2? Count the pins. Type 1 has five pins set in a round housing with a sprung latch on the upper lip. Type 2 has seven pins and a flattened top edge. Five pins means the Type 1 cables on this page. Seven pins means the van is a 2021 or later e-Partner and needs our Type 2 range. Is the 32A cable worth it over the 16A? Not for speed. The Partner Electric caps at around 3.3 kW, so both cables fill 20.5 kWh in about seven hours. The 32A is worth the small difference if another EV will ever share the cable, because it is rated to 7.4 kW, which is the fastest any single phase UK supply can deliver. How long does a Partner Electric take to charge? About seven hours from empty on either Type 1 to Type 2 cable, working from 20.5 kWh usable at roughly 3.3 kW. On the 3 pin cable at 2.3 kW it is about ten hours, which still fits a depot shutdown but leaves no margin if the van goes out early. Should I keep a second cable in the van? Many fleet operators do. A 3 pin cable in the load bay means a driver stranded at a customer site can top up from a standard socket overnight at 2.3 kW. It is slow, but it turns a recovery call into a delayed start. Keep the Type 1 to Type 2 on the depot post. Do I need 5m or 10m for depot charging? Buy 10m if the van reverses into a bay, shares a post with another vehicle, or parks wherever there is room that night. Buy 5m only when the post sits within a couple of metres of a dedicated bay. A yard rarely stays laid out the way it was on the day you measured it.

    Citroen C3 Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

Three different cars wear a C3 badge in the UK and only one of them has a socket. The electric Citroen e-C3 charges at 7.4 kW on AC and takes a Type 2 cable. The petrol C3 has nothing to plug in. Neither does the C3 Hybrid 110, which is a 48 volt mild hybrid that recharges itself from the engine and the brakes, and which catches people out precisely because the word hybrid is on the boot. Citroen has never sold a plug-in hybrid C3 in Britain, so if your car is not the e-C3, no charging cable exists that will fit it. An e-C3 uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. Citroen fits the standard European inlet, and there is no Type 1 version of this car, so the connector question is settled before you start. Take the 32A single phase lead. Three phase power is a commercial supply, and on a house you get one phase with 7.4 kW as its ceiling, which happens to be exactly what the e-C3 asks for. That makes this one of the cleaner matches in the catalogue: the cable, the supply and the car all agree on the same number, and the 22 kW lead cannot improve on it anywhere. The 16A cable is a closer call here than on most electric cars, because the batteries are small. On the 44 kWh e-C3 it takes a full charge from 6 hours 45 minutes to 13 hours 30 minutes, which no longer fits a night. On the Urban Range car it is 9 hours against 4 hours 30 minutes, which still does. On the Urban Range battery the 16A lead is defensible. On the 44 kWh car it is not. A small battery is exactly where a 3-pin cable stops being a token gesture. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable works at 2.3 kW off any household ring main, worth roughly 11 miles an hour in an e-C3 and close to 90 miles across a long night. For a car most people use for short local journeys, a household socket is a genuine second charging method rather than a last resort. Read what plugging into a house socket actually achieves. Stepping up a size, the Citroen e-C4 charging cable page covers the larger hatchback and the Citroen C5 Aircross charging cable page covers the plug-in SUV. All of them appear in Citroen EV charging cables. Our IP ratings guide sets out what the sealing numbers quoted below actually cover. These are IEC 62196 Type 2 cables with CE certification. Citroen e-C3 Charging Cable FAQs What cable should a Citroen e-C3 owner buy? The Citroen e-C3 uses the 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. It is the only C3 in the range with a charging socket, so if your car is the petrol version or the Hybrid 110 you do not need a cable at all. Does the Citroen C3 Hybrid 110 need a charging cable? No. The Citroen C3 Hybrid 110 is a 48 volt mild hybrid with no charging socket, and it recharges its small battery from the engine and from braking. There has never been a plug-in hybrid C3 sold in the UK either, so the only C3 that takes a cable is the fully electric e-C3. Will a three phase cable help a Citroen e-C3? No. A Citroen e-C3 draws 7.4 kW at most and a home supply provides one phase, which delivers exactly that. The 22 kW cable costs more, weighs more and finishes at the same time, so there is no version of this car or this supply where it pays. How long does a Citroen e-C3 take to charge at home? About 6 hours 45 minutes from empty for the 44 kWh Citroen e-C3 on a 32A cable, and about 4 hours 30 minutes for the 30 kWh Urban Range version. Both roughly double on a 16A lead, at 13 hours 30 minutes and 9 hours. How long a cable does a Citroen e-C3 need? The e-C3 is a short car at just under four metres, so 5m covers most driveways where the wallbox is on the same side as the charging flap. Measure from the socket on the wall to where the flap ends up when the car is parked as you normally leave it, and choose 10m if that walk goes round either end of the car. Can I use my own cable at a public charger? Yes. UK on-street and car park AC posts are mostly untethered, meaning you plug your own Type 2 to Type 2 lead in at both ends. The e-C3 also has a CCS socket for rapid DC charging, which uses the charger's own attached cable.

    Genesis GV60 Charging Cable

The Genesis GV60 takes 11 kW AC on every version sold in Britain, from the original Premium through the current Pure, Sport and Performance to the GV60 Magma. Because 11 kW is a three phase figure and homes run on one phase, the car draws 7.4 kW at a domestic wallbox and a 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable delivers all of it. Every Genesis GV60 uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable, connecting to the Type 2 portion of its CCS Combo 2 inlet. The interesting thing about the GV60 range is that the trim you chose changes your range but not your charging time. All the cars in a given generation share one battery and one onboard charger, so they all take the same number of hours to fill. What differs is how far each one travels on that energy. The original Premium managed 321 miles from 77.4 kWh while the Sport Plus returned 289 from the same pack, and on the newer 84 kWh car the spread runs from 348 miles down to 311, with the Magma at 264. In practice that means an hour on a 32A single phase cable is worth about 31 miles to a Pure and closer to 26 to a Magma, while both cars finish a full charge in the same time. If you have gone for a faster GV60, the cable does not need to change, but you will be plugging in a little more often. The 32A single phase lead is the right cable for essentially every GV60 owner. It fills the 84 kWh car in about 12 hours 45 minutes and the earlier 77.4 kWh car in about 11 hours 45 minutes, and it puts around 220 miles back in over a seven hour overnight window. Going down to a 16A cable cuts the rate to 3.7 kW and roughly halves everything, taking the overnight figure to about 105 miles. Going up to a 22 kW three phase cable achieves nothing at a house, since the extra two phases simply are not present in a domestic supply, and the GV60 caps at 11 kW even where they are. Three phase belongs in a workplace car park, where it lifts the GV60 to about 46 miles an hour. A Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable runs at 2.3 kW and adds roughly 10 miles an hour to a GV60. Nobody should plan to charge a car this size on a household socket, but as a lead that lets you take energy from any ordinary plug when you are away from home, it earns its space in the boot. The Genesis G80 charging cable page covers the brand's electric saloon, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 charging cable page deals with a car built on the same E-GMP platform. Browse everything in the Type 2 charging cables collection. All our leads meet IEC 62196 Type 2 and hold CE certification, with IP55 sealing on Type 2 to Type 2 versions and IP67 on Type 2 to 3-Pin versions, usable from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. Each one comes with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. Sport, Performance and Magma trims cover fewer miles per kWh, so subtract roughly a tenth for Sport and about a fifth for Magma. Genesis publishes total pack size rather than usable capacity, so these times are slightly conservative. Winter temperatures and motorway cruising will both reduce it. Genesis GV60 Charging Cable FAQs What cable should a Genesis GV60 owner buy? A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable. The Genesis GV60 accepts 11 kW on three phases, which a British home cannot supply, so the practical ceiling at a domestic wallbox is 7.4 kW and the 32A single phase lead delivers exactly that. Do the GV60 trims charge at different speeds? No. Every Genesis GV60 in a given generation shares one battery and one 11 kW onboard charger, so Premium, Sport, Pure, Performance and Magma all take the same time to charge. The trims differ in efficiency, so a Pure gains around 31 miles an hour on a 32A cable where a Magma gains closer to 26. Will a 22kW cable charge a GV60 faster? Not at home, and not by as much as the label suggests anywhere else. The Genesis GV60 limits itself to 11 kW, so a 22 kW cable can never deliver its full rating to this car. At a three phase commercial charge point that 11 kW cuts a full charge from about 12 hours 45 minutes to 8 hours 45 minutes. On a house supply it changes nothing at all. How long a cable does a GV60 need? The Genesis GV60 is a mid size SUV of about 4.5 metres with its charging flap on the rear right wing. Reversing onto a driveway with the wallbox on that side makes 5m workable. Most owners drive in forwards, which puts the flap at the far end of the car, and those owners want 10m. Sloped or shared driveways push the answer to 10m as well. How much range does one overnight charge add to a GV60? About 220 miles, taking a seven hour cheap rate stretch and a 32A single phase lead, which recovers most of the Genesis GV60's usable range in a single night. Swap to a 16A lead over those same hours and the figure falls to roughly 105 miles. Can a GV60 charge from a normal plug socket? Yes, with a Type 2 to 3-Pin charging cable, though slowly. A Genesis GV60 gains about 10 miles of range an hour that way and would need well over a day to charge from empty, so treat a three pin lead as a way of taking a top up wherever there is a socket rather than as your main charging method.

A charging cable for the MINI Electric, covering the 2020 to 2023 Cooper SE with 28.9 kWh usable, the 2024 Cooper E with 36.6 kWh usable and the 2024 Cooper SE with 49.2 kWh usable. All three charge through a Type 2 inlet, so the lead is a Type 2 to Type 2. Each version carries the same 11 kW onboard AC charger, which is a three phase rating. A UK home supply is single phase, so the car draws at most 7.4 kW at a house and the 32A single phase cable delivers that in full, filling the 2020 to 2023 Cooper SE in about 4 hours 30 minutes. • Vauxhall Astra Electric Charging Cable Vauxhall Astra Electric Charging Cable

    Vauxhall Astra Electric Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

The Vauxhall Astra Electric takes 11 kW AC, a three phase rating, so the fastest a home wallbox can feed it is 7.4 kW and a 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable delivers precisely that. Both the Astra Electric hatchback and the Astra Sports Tourer Electric estate take a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable through the Type 2 portion of the CCS Combo 2 inlet. Whichever body you have, the connector is the same. One thing worth knowing before you compare charge times: almost every Astra Electric on British roads today is the 54 kWh car. Vauxhall only opened orders for the larger 58.3 kWh version in mid 2026, with first deliveries in July of that year, so unless yours is brand new it will be the earlier pack with a WLTP range near 258 miles in the hatch and 257 in the Sports Tourer. Use the first table below. The 32A single phase cable is the right buy for either battery. It fills the 54 kWh car in about 7 hours 45 minutes and the 58.3 kWh car in about 8 hours 30 minutes, and in both cases returns roughly 38 miles of range for each hour plugged in. A normal seven hour cheap rate period therefore covers a full charge on either car, which is the practical test that matters. The 16A cable is where Astra owners lose out. At 3.7 kW the car gains about 19 miles an hour, so seven hours overnight returns around 130 miles rather than a full battery. For anyone using an Astra Electric as a daily commuter that is a car that never quite catches up, and the small saving on the cable buys you a permanent charging deficit. Three phase is a different question. The Astra Electric caps at 11 kW and needs three phases to get there, and British homes are wired for one. On the drive a 22 kW cable will charge your Astra at 7.4 kW exactly like the cheaper single phase lead. Only at a workplace or business unit with a genuine three phase feed does it lift the car to about 56 miles an hour. A Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable earns its keep as a spare. At 2.3 kW the Astra Electric picks up around 12 miles an hour, adding perhaps 80 miles across a long overnight stop at a house with no charge point. Sports Tourer owners have the boot space to carry both leads without thinking about it, which is one small practical advantage of the estate. The Vauxhall Mokka-e charging cable and Vauxhall Corsa-e charging cable pages cover the brand's smaller electric cars, and the Vauxhall EV charging cables collection holds the full range. Delivery is free and next working day across the UK, and a 2 year manufacturer's warranty covers every lead. Cables are built to IEC 62196 Type 2 and certified CE. Sealing is IP55 on a Type 2 to Type 2 lead and IP67 on a Type 2 to 3-Pin one, with -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin either side of that. Vauxhall Astra Electric Charging Times by Battery 54 kWh battery 2023 to 2026, 50.8 kWh usable, 258 miles WLTP (hatch) Maximum onboard AC charging speed: 11 kW on three phases, cut to 7.4 kW by a single phase domestic feed. The Sports Tourer is rated at 276 miles, and Vauxhall has quoted the hatch at both 281 and 282 miles. The figure drops in winter and at motorway pace. Vauxhall Astra Electric Charging Cable FAQs Which cable is right for a Vauxhall Astra Electric? A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable. The Vauxhall Astra Electric accepts 11 kW on a three phase supply, which a UK home reduces to 7.4 kW, and the 32A single phase lead carries the full 7.4 kW without restriction. Which battery is in my Astra Electric? If your Vauxhall Astra Electric was registered before mid 2026 it has the 54 kWh battery and around 258 miles of WLTP range. The larger 58.3 kWh pack, rated at 281 miles, only reached UK customers from July 2026. Both use an identical 11 kW onboard charger, so the cable choice does not change between them. Does the Sports Tourer estate charge any slower? No. The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Electric shares its battery and 11 kW charger with the hatchback, so both charge in the same time. The estate is rated for a handful fewer WLTP miles, which makes no practical difference to how you charge it. Is a three phase cable a waste of money on an Astra Electric? At home, yes. The Vauxhall Astra Electric is limited to 11 kW and that rate needs three phases, which domestic properties in Britain do not receive. A 22 kW cable therefore charges an Astra Electric at exactly the same 7.4 kW as the 32A single phase lead on a home wallbox. It only repays the extra cost if you also charge somewhere with a three phase supply. What cable length suits an Astra Electric? The Vauxhall Astra Electric carries its charging flap on the rear left wing, and the hatch measures about 4.4 metres against 4.6 for the Sports Tourer. Backing onto a drive with the wallbox on the left keeps you inside 5m. Parking nose first puts the flap at the far end, so 10m is the safer choice, and estate owners who also load the boot from the same side will appreciate the slack. Can I take my Astra cable to a public charge point? Yes. Public AC posts in the UK are mostly untethered Type 2 sockets, and a Vauxhall Astra Electric owner with a Type 2 to Type 2 cable can plug straight into them. Rapid DC chargers have their own fixed cables, so you would not use your own lead there.

Audi Q8 e-Tron EV Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

An Audi Q8 e-tron takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable and accepts 11 kW on AC as standard. Order the 32A single phase cable, which hands the car the full 7.4 kW a British home supply can produce. This car deserves a moment's thought that a smaller EV does not, because the battery is the largest we sell a cable for. A 106 kWh Q8 e-tron 55 takes about 16 hours 15 minutes to fill from empty at 7.4 kW. On a 16A cable that becomes over 32 hours, which is not an overnight charge by any definition, so the 16A is the wrong buy here even though it is cheaper. Then check the left hand side of your car. The 22 kW twin charger was a cost option and it needed a second charge flap on the near side. If your Q8 e-tron has two flaps and you charge somewhere with three phase power, the three-phase cable genuinely doubles your rate. If it has one flap, or you charge at home, it does nothing the 32A single phase does not already do. Do not confuse this car with the Audi Q8 TFSI e, which is a petrol plug-in hybrid on the conventional Q8 body, takes 7.4 kW and is a different car entirely. The Compatibility tab lists both, along with the pre-2022 Audi e-tron that the Q8 e-tron was renamed from. The inlet sits on the offside front wing, ahead of the door, so measure from the wallbox to the front corner of the car. 5m suits a unit on that same side. 10m covers the opposite wall or a second car on the drive. Elsewhere in the range, the Audi Q4 e-tron has its own page and the Audi charging cable range covers the rest. Built to IEC 62196-2, CE certified, IP55 sealed, rated from -30C to +50C, two year warranty and free next working day UK delivery. Audi quotes range as a band because wheels and body style move it, and cold weather and motorway speeds reduce the miles per hour figure again. Audi Q8 e-tron Charging Cable FAQs Which cable does an Audi Q8 e-tron need? The 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable. An Audi Q8 e-tron accepts 11 kW on AC, a British house supplies 7.4 kW of that, and the 32A cable passes all of it. Nothing else on sale charges one faster on a driveway. Is the 16A cable enough for a Q8 e-tron? No. At 3.7 kW a 106 kWh Audi Q8 e-tron needs over 32 hours from empty, against 16 hours 15 minutes on the 32A. On a battery this size the cheaper cable costs you charges you can never finish. Does my Q8 e-tron have the 22kW charger? Look for a second charging flap on the near side of the car. The 22 kW twin charger was a paid option on the Audi Q8 e-tron and it came with an extra port on the left. One flap means 11 kW, and at a house both cables deliver 7.4 kW regardless. Is the Q8 e-tron the same as the Q8 TFSI e? No, they are different cars. The Audi Q8 e-tron is fully electric, formerly called the Audi e-tron. The Audi Q8 TFSI e is a petrol plug-in hybrid built on the conventional Q8 and it accepts 7.4 kW. Both take a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and both are listed in the Compatibility tab. What length cable does an Audi Q8 e-tron need? The inlet is on the offside front wing, so measure from the charge point to the front corner of the car with it parked where it normally sits. 5m works when the wallbox is on that side, and 10m covers the opposite wall, a second car, or reversing onto the drive.

    Mazda MX-30 Charging Cable

Delivered in 3-11 working days  Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for availability.

The Mazda MX-30 takes 6.6 kW AC, the lowest onboard charging rate of any electric car we write about. Mazda withdrew the MX-30 from the UK range during 2025, so almost everyone buying a cable for one now is a second or third owner, often working out what the original supplying dealer did or did not hand over with the car. The MX-30 uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. The inlet is a CCS Combo 2 on the rear right wing, and the round Type 2 portion at the top is where an AC cable connects. There is no Type 1 version of this car, so if a private seller hands you a Type 1 lead it did not come with the MX-30. Because the car's own charger caps at 6.6 kW, the MX-30 is the rare case where the limit sits in the vehicle rather than in your house. Most electric cars accept 11 kW and are held to 7.4 kW by a single phase domestic supply. The MX-30 cannot reach even 7.4. A 32A single phase cable will feed it 6.6 kW, which is everything it can take, and a 22 kW three phase cable would deliver exactly the same 6.6 kW for more money. Three phase is genuinely pointless on this model. The 32A single phase lead is still the one to buy. It fills the 35.5 kWh battery in about 6 hours and returns roughly 23 miles of range an hour. Step down to a 16A cable and the rate falls to 3.7 kW, stretching a full charge to 10 hours 45 minutes and halving the miles per hour to about 13. Given the MX-30's modest 124 mile range, losing half your charging speed hurts more here than it would on a long range car, because there is less buffer to absorb a night when charging did not finish. A Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable works genuinely well on this car. At 2.3 kW it fills the MX-30 in about 17 hours 30 minutes, and because the battery is small, an ordinary overnight stint on a household socket returns a useful 60 to 70 miles. For a used MX-30 owner without a wallbox yet, a three pin lead is a real interim charging solution rather than a token gesture. Mazda also sold the MX-30 R-EV, which pairs a much smaller 17.8 kWh battery with a rotary petrol generator and gives around 53 electric miles. If your car has a fuel filler as well as a charging flap, it is the R-EV and its charging times are far shorter than the ones below. The Mazda CX-60 charging cable page covers Mazda's plug-in hybrid SUV, and the Mazda EV charging cables collection lists everything we stock for the marque. A 2 year manufacturer's warranty comes with every cable here, alongside free next working day UK delivery. Construction is IEC 62196 Type 2 with CE certification, IP55 on Type 2 to Type 2 leads and IP67 on Type 2 to 3-Pin leads, rated from -30C to +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. Mazda MX-30 Charging Times by Battery 35.5 kWh battery, 124 miles WLTP Maximum onboard AC charging speed: 6.6 kW, which no cable can exceed. Note also that Mazda's own UK charging table implies a slightly higher rate than the 6.6 kW quoted at launch, so treat 6.6 kW as the conservative figure. Expect lower figures in winter and on long fast runs. Mazda MX-30 Charging Cable FAQs What cable does a Mazda MX-30 need? A Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable, and the 32A single phase version is the right pick. The Mazda MX-30 accepts 6.6 kW, the 32A cable carries that comfortably, and a full charge takes about 6 hours. My used MX-30 came without a cable. What am I missing? Most Mazda MX-30s were supplied with a Type 2 to Type 2 Mode 3 cable for wallbox and public post charging. A three pin Mode 2 cable was not always included. Since the MX-30 left the UK price list in 2025, replacements are no longer a dealer item for many owners, and buying a 32A Type 2 to Type 2 lead restores the car to how it was sold. Is the three phase cable a waste of money on an MX-30? Yes. The Mazda MX-30 is limited to 6.6 kW by its own onboard charger, which is below what a single phase supply already provides. A 22 kW three phase cable therefore charges an MX-30 at precisely the same speed as a 32A single phase one. There is no scenario, at home or at a public post, where the extra phases help this car. How is the MX-30 R-EV different for charging? The Mazda MX-30 R-EV carries a 17.8 kWh battery instead of 35.5 kWh, roughly half the size, plus a rotary petrol generator to extend its range. It gives about 53 miles on electricity and refills far more quickly than the battery electric MX-30. Both cars use the same Type 2 to Type 2 cable. What length of cable suits an MX-30? The Mazda MX-30 is a compact crossover at just over 4.4 metres, and its charging flap is on the rear right wing. Owners who reverse onto a driveway with the wallbox on the right will manage on 5m. Drive in forwards and that flap sits at the far end of the car from the wall, where 10m removes the problem. The rear hinged back doors do not affect cable routing, but leave room to open them. How much range does an MX-30 gain in one cheap rate window? A seven hour off peak period on a 32A single phase cable puts about 160 miles into a Mazda MX-30, which is more than the car can hold, so the battery fills and stops. That is the useful thing about a small battery: one cheap rate window always covers a full charge, provided the cable is not holding the car back.

The Jeep Avenger Electric takes 11 kW AC, which is a three phase figure. On a normal UK home supply the car draws 7.4 kW, and a 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable delivers every watt of it. Before buying anything, check which Avenger sits on your drive, because most of the UK range has no charging socket at all. Jeep sells four Avenger powertrains in Britain and only one of them plugs in. The 1.2 petrol and the e-Hybrid are self charging. So is the Avenger 4xe, despite the badge: on this car 4xe means the 48 volt four wheel drive system, not a plug-in hybrid, and there is no inlet anywhere on the vehicle. Only the Avenger Electric, sold as e-Longitude, e-Altitude and e-Summit, can accept a cable. If your Avenger has no flap on the rear left wing, no cable on this site will help you. Assuming you have the Electric, it uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. The inlet is a CCS Combo 2, and the round Type 2 section at the top is the part your AC cable plugs into. The larger pins underneath are for public rapid units and are not used at home. There is no Type 1 version of the Avenger. The 32A single phase cable is the one to buy. Your house has one phase coming into it, so the 11 kW the Avenger can theoretically accept is not available at a domestic wallbox no matter what cable you own. The 32A single phase lead carries the full 7.4 kW your supply can give and fills the 51 kWh battery in about 7 hours 45 minutes. A three phase cable only earns its money if you also charge at a workplace or industrial unit with three phases wired in, where the Avenger will pull the full 11 kW and finish in around 5 hours 15 minutes. A 16A cable caps the car at 3.7 kW and doubles that to roughly 15 hours 30 minutes. Put another way, a seven hour overnight cheap rate window gives you about 250 miles on the 32A cable and about 125 on the 16A. On a car with a 248 mile WLTP range that is the difference between waking up full and waking up half full, every single night. The saving on the cheaper lead is gone inside a few months of missed off peak hours. A Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable is still worth keeping in the boot. It runs at 2.3 kW, adds around 11 miles an hour and needs 25 hours to fill the Avenger from flat, so it is not a primary charger. What it does is turn any ordinary socket into a slow charger when you are staying with family, parked at a holiday cottage or somewhere a wallbox does not exist. Jeep supplies the Avenger with a single phase Mode 3 cable, not a three pin one, so this is a genuine gap in the standard kit. If you are comparing across the range, the Jeep Renegade 4xe charging cable covers the plug-in hybrid Renegade, and the Jeep Compass charging cable page explains a very similar badge problem on that model. Everything we stock for the marque sits in the Jeep EV charging cables collection. Every cable we sell is built to IEC 62196 Type 2 and carries CE certification. Type 2 to Type 2 leads are rated IP55 and Type 2 to 3-Pin leads IP67, both rated for use between -30C and +50C, or +60C for the 3-pin. All of them carry a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and ship with free next working day UK delivery. The figure drops in winter and at motorway pace. Jeep Avenger Charging Cable FAQs Does my Jeep Avenger actually need a charging cable? Only the Jeep Avenger Electric needs one. The Avenger petrol, the Avenger e-Hybrid and the Avenger 4xe are all 48 volt self charging systems with no charging inlet, so no cable of any kind will connect to them. Look for a charging flap on the rear left wing. If there is not one, your Avenger cannot be plugged in. Why is the Avenger 4xe not a plug-in hybrid? On the Jeep Avenger, 4xe denotes the 48 volt electric four wheel drive system with a motor on the rear axle, not a plug-in battery. Jeep uses the same 4xe badge on the Renegade and the older Compass where it does mean a plug-in hybrid, which is where the confusion comes from. The Avenger 4xe has no socket and recharges its small battery from the engine and from braking. Which cable is right for a Jeep Avenger Electric? A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable suits almost every Jeep Avenger Electric owner. It delivers the full 7.4 kW a UK home supply can provide and charges the car from empty in about 7 hours 45 minutes, comfortably inside one overnight off peak period. Would a 22kW cable speed up an Avenger Electric? Not at a house. The Jeep Avenger Electric accepts 11 kW, and reaching that requires a three phase electricity supply, which UK homes do not have. A three phase cable is worth buying only if you regularly charge somewhere with three phases available, such as a workplace car park or a commercial unit, where the Avenger will complete a charge in about 5 hours 15 minutes. How long a cable does a Jeep Avenger need? The Jeep Avenger Electric has its charging flap on the rear left wing and the car is just over four metres long, so a 5m cable reaches a wallbox on the same side of a standard driveway. Owners who reverse onto the drive, or whose wallbox sits on the opposite side of the garage, are better off with a 10m lead. Measure from the socket to where the rear left corner of the car ends up parked, not to the front of the car. How much range does an Avenger gain in one cheap rate window? A seven hour off peak window on a 32A single phase cable puts roughly 250 miles into a Jeep Avenger Electric, which is a full charge from close to empty. The same window on a 16A cable gives about 125 miles. For most owners that single difference is the whole argument for the 32A lead.

    5m EV Charging Cables

5m is the right cable when the charge point is close to the car. It is the cheapest of our lengths, the lightest to carry and the easiest to coil back into the boot. If you park nose in to a wallbox on the garage wall, 5m is usually plenty. If there is any doubt about reach, particularly on public charge points, go for the 10m instead. We supply the 5m in four forms. Which one you need depends on the socket on your car: Type 2 to Type 2: for almost every EV and plug in hybrid sold in the UK since around 2014. Available in 16A, 32A single phase and 32A three phase. Type 2 to 3 Pin, 6 to 12A adjustable: charges a Type 2 car from an ordinary UK 13A socket, no wallbox needed. Type 1 to Type 2: for older cars with a Type 1 port, such as the early Nissan Leaf and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Available in 16A and 32A. Type 1 to 3 Pin, 6 to 12A adjustable: the domestic socket version for those same Type 1 cars. Not sure which connector your car uses? Type 1 and Type 2 explained. Our Type 2 to Type 2 and Type 1 to Type 2 cables are IP55 rated, and our 3 Pin cables are IP67 rated, so all of them are fine to use and leave connected outdoors in British weather. What the IP rating means. Each cable is produced to the IEC 62196 Type 2 standard, passes CE safety certification, and ships with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty and free next working day UK delivery. Need more reach? We also stock 15m and 20m cables. 5m Charging Cable Speeds These are the specifications we supply in 5m. Your car will charge at whichever is lower, its own onboard limit or the figure below. Specification Max Charge Rate Range Added Per Hour Typical Use Type 2 to Type 2, 1 Phase, 16A (5m) 3.7 kW Around 12 miles Overnight home charging Type 2 to Type 2, 1 Phase, 32A (5m) 7.4 kW Around 25 miles Home wallbox and public Type 2 charge points Type 2 to Type 2, 3 Phase, 32A (5m) 22 kW Around 75 miles Three phase workplace and public charge points Type 1 to Type 2, 1 Phase, 16A or 32A (16A: 5m · 32A: 5m) 3.7 kW or 7.4 kW Around 12 or 25 miles Older Type 1 cars on a Type 2 charge point 3 Pin, 6 to 12A adjustable (Type 2: 5m · Type 1: 5m) 2.3 kW Around 8 miles Standard UK 13A socket, no wallbox required The three phase 22 kW figure only applies if your vehicle has a three phase onboard charger and the charge point supplies three phase. Almost all UK homes are single phase, so for home charging the 32A single phase cable is the one to buy. 5m EV Charging Cable FAQs Is 5m long enough, or should I take the 10m? 5m works when the charge point is within a couple of metres of the car's port, which usually means a wallbox on the garage wall and parking nose in. If you park either way round, share a driveway, or use public bays where the post sits behind you, the 10m removes the guesswork. How do I know whether I need Type 1 or Type 2? Look at the socket on the car, not the charge point. A seven pin round socket is Type 2, which covers almost every EV and plug in hybrid sold here since around 2014. A five pin socket is Type 1, found on older cars such as the early Nissan Leaf and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Will a 5m cable charge my car any faster than a longer one? No. Shorter is cheaper, lighter and tidier to store, but it delivers exactly the same power. A 32A cable is a 32A cable at any length we sell. Your actual rate comes from whichever is lowest of the car's onboard charger, the supply at the charge point, and the cable's amp rating. Should I choose 16A or 32A? 32A if your wallbox supports it, since that gives 7.4 kW against 3.7 kW for 16A, which is roughly half the charging time. 16A only makes sense when the wallbox or the car is limited to 16 amps, in which case the dearer cable buys you nothing. Most modern UK home units are 32A. Can I use it in the rain and leave it plugged in overnight? Yes. The Type 2 to Type 2 and Type 1 to Type 2 cables are IP55 rated, and the 3 Pin versions are IP67 rated, so a wet British night is well within what they are built for. Keep the connectors off standing water, do not drive over the cable, and coil it dry afterwards. My wallbox already has a cable attached. Do I still need this? Not for that wallbox, no. A tethered unit comes with its own lead. A 5m cable is for untethered wallboxes and for public posts, which are socket only and expect you to bring your own. If your tethered lead is simply too short, an extension cable adds reach instead.
