A liquid wormer for use against roundworm and hairworm in racing pigeons and caged birds. Safe and easy to use. Safe to use on caged birds, although dilution may need to be adjusted. Contains levamisole at 80mg/ml. Dosage is 6ml to 2lt of drinking water for three days. Ie 1ml in 1 ltr of water each day for a 4Kg Chicken.
Not licensed for Poultry in the UK from the levamisole website however;
For ducks: 20-50 mg/kg bodyweight, added to drinking water source. Should be in accordance with product label. For chickens: 20-36 mg/kg bodyweight added to drinking water source. Should be in accordance with product label.
It's effective against most adult species of roundworms, including Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, and Capillaria obsignata. However, it does not have any effect on tapeworms. Withdrawal period: There is a 16.4 day withdrawal period for laying hens producing eggs. This means that for 9 days after receiving this medication, the eggs produced by the hens should not be sold for human consumption. Storage/Stability: Levamisole products should be stored at room temperature (15-30°C), unless otherwise instructed by the manufacturer; avoid temperatures greater than 40°C.
