How can I stop my 5m charging cable from being stolen or damaged?

EV Cable Shop recommends keeping any vehicle chargers, including the 5m EV cable, in a secure dry place when it is not in use.
This will make them much harder for opportunistic thieves to target and also keep them safe from accidental damage.
