Emerson Gear Yote Hydration Assault Pack
Finding something to carry multiple bits of kit with you out in the field is often a dilemma that many of us face. Luckily
Emerson Gear has brought us the Yote Hydration Assault Pack.
The Emerson Gear Yote is made from heavy-duty 500D Cordura®, which is abrasion and water-resistant. This means that you can be confident in its build when you're out and about clambering through hedges and other terrains. It has two padded shoulder straps, which can be adjusted.
The shoulder straps have a chest strap attached and two D-rings for attaching items too. The shoulder straps can be removed, which will allow you to use the molle straps to attach the hydration assault pack to the back of a plate carrier. There is strapping along the top and sides for attaching items with carabiners.
There are six compression straps that are very handy for keeping the pack tight and free from uncontrolled movement when being worn.
Inside the main compartment is a mesh pocket that is perfect for retaining a water bladder. The rest of the compartment is spacious for storing needed gear. There are three ports to run an antenna or water bladder pipe through.
There are three external pouches, one on the beavertail and two on the sides, which are for storing quick-access items, such as gloves, tools, torches and maps. On the pouch that is attached to the beavertail, there is a velcro panel for attaching patches. There is a smaller velcro panel further up the beavertail.
There is also a small zip-close pocket in the top of the beavertail, good for storing small items, such as paperwork. If you open up the beaver tail you can access the second zip pocket as well as the mesh pocket. You can use this area to store a helmet or waterproof clothing for easy access.
