The Vauxhall Astra Electric takes 11 kW AC, a three phase rating, so the fastest a home wallbox can feed it is 7.4 kW and a 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable delivers precisely that.
Both the Astra Electric hatchback and the Astra Sports Tourer Electric estate take a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable through the Type 2 portion of the CCS Combo 2 inlet. Whichever body you have, the connector is the same.
One thing worth knowing before you compare charge times: almost every Astra Electric on British roads today is the 54 kWh car. Vauxhall only opened orders for the larger 58.3 kWh version in mid 2026, with first deliveries in July of that year, so unless yours is brand new it will be the earlier pack with a WLTP range near 258 miles in the hatch and 257 in the Sports Tourer. Use the first table below.
The 32A single phase cable is the right buy for either battery. It fills the 54 kWh car in about 7 hours 45 minutes and the 58.3 kWh car in about 8 hours 30 minutes, and in both cases returns roughly 38 miles of range for each hour plugged in. A normal seven hour cheap rate period therefore covers a full charge on either car, which is the practical test that matters.
The 16A cable is where Astra owners lose out. At 3.7 kW the car gains about 19 miles an hour, so seven hours overnight returns around 130 miles rather than a full battery. For anyone using an Astra Electric as a daily commuter that is a car that never quite catches up, and the small saving on the cable buys you a permanent charging deficit.
Three phase is a different question. The Astra Electric caps at 11 kW and needs three phases to get there, and British homes are wired for one. On the drive a 22 kW cable will charge your Astra at 7.4 kW exactly like the cheaper single phase lead. Only at a workplace or business unit with a genuine three phase feed does it lift the car to about 56 miles an hour.
A Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable earns its keep as a spare. At 2.3 kW the Astra Electric picks up around 12 miles an hour, adding perhaps 80 miles across a long overnight stop at a house with no charge point. Sports Tourer owners have the boot space to carry both leads without thinking about it, which is one small practical advantage of the estate.

Backing onto a drive with the wallbox on the left keeps you inside 5m. Parking nose first puts the flap at the far end, so 10m is the safer choice, and estate owners who also load the boot from the same side will appreciate the slack.
Can I take my Astra cable to a public charge point?
Yes. Public AC posts in the UK are mostly untethered Type 2 sockets, and a Vauxhall Astra Electric owner with a Type 2 to Type 2 cable can plug straight into them. Rapid DC chargers have their own fixed cables, so you would not use your own lead there.

When the Vauxhall Corsa-e was new, the options list included an 11 kW three phase onboard charger for about eight hundred and fifty pounds. It is worth knowing what that box actually bought, because plenty of used Corsa-e buyers are now told they need a matching 22 kW cable. At a British house a Vauxhall Corsa-e charges at 7.4 kW whether the option was ticked or not, since the optional charger needs three phases to show its value and a home has one. The Vauxhall Corsa-e charging cable answer is therefore the same on every car in the country.
The connector is a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable on all of them, from the original Corsa-e through to the current Corsa Electric. Vauxhall put the socket on the rear nearside wing, behind the passenger door, and never moved it.
The lead to order is the 32A single phase one. It carries the whole 7.4 kW a house is able to send, and no Corsa can go past that on a driveway. The 22 kW cable is only useful on an 11 kW car parked at a workplace with three real phases, where the 51 kWh battery falls to roughly 5 hours. Anywhere else it is extra weight and extra money for the same finish time.
Skip the 16A cable on this car. It halves the rate to 3.7 kW and stretches a full charge past 14 hours from 7 hours. You would need two full nights on 16A to do what one night on 32A does.
Then there is the domestic socket lead, which does a job nothing else does. What charging cable should a Vauxhall Corsa-e owner buy?
Choose the 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable. A Vauxhall Corsa-e will take 7.4 kW at home, and that lead carries all of it, including on cars fitted with the optional faster onboard charger.
Was the 11kW charger worth the option price on a Corsa-e?
Only for owners with three phase access. The 11 kW charger was roughly an eight hundred and fifty pound option on the Vauxhall Corsa-e, and at a house it delivers exactly the same 7.4 kW as the standard unit. It pays back at an industrial unit or workplace fed by three real phases, where a full charge drops to about 5 hours.
Is there a difference between the Corsa-e and the Corsa Electric?
For charging purposes, almost none. Vauxhall renamed the Corsa-e to Corsa Electric and later moved from a 50 kWh battery to a 51 kWh one with more range, but both take 7.4 kW single phase at home and both use the same Type 2 to Type 2 cable.
How long does a Vauxhall Corsa-e take to charge overnight?
About 7 hours from empty for the 50 kWh Vauxhall Corsa-e on a 32A cable, and 7 hours 15 minutes for the 51 kWh Corsa Electric. Both fit inside a normal overnight window, which is exactly what the 16A cable at over 14 hours does not.
What cable length fits a Vauxhall Corsa-e?
With the socket on the rear nearside wing of a 4.06 metre car, a 5m lead is enough on a single drive where the wallbox is behind the car on the passenger side. Anything else, a shared drive, a kerbside charge or a unit mounted by the front door, and the 10m is the one that will not annoy you.
Does a Vauxhall Corsa-e need a special cable for public charging?

For a Grandland X Hybrid the right product is a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and the amperage depends on which onboard charger your car left the factory with. 3.7 kW was standard and 7.4 kW was an option. A 16A cable covers the standard charger fully. A 32A cable covers both, so if you do not know which one you have, 32A is the safe choice.
The plug-in Grandland X, sold as Hybrid4 300 with four wheel drive or Hybrid 225 with front wheel drive from 2020 to 2021, carries a 13.2 kWh battery. On the standard 3.7 kW charger a full charge takes about 4 hours. With the optional 7.4 kW charger and a 32A cable that halves to roughly 2 hours. Neither version has any rapid charging, so the cable in the boot is the only way to fill it.
Vauxhall dropped the X from the name in 2021, but the plug-in hybrid carried on unchanged until 2024, so the same advice applies to those cars.
Now the trap. The Grandland Hybrid launched in early 2024 is a 48V mild hybrid with a 0.9 kWh battery and no charging port whatsoever. It shares almost the same name as the plug-in and it cannot be charged. If your car is a 2024 or later and the badge simply reads Hybrid, walk round it and look for a charging flap before buying anything.
From 2025 there is a proper plug-in again, the Grandland Plug-in Hybrid 225, with a much larger 21 kWh pack and 17.9 kWh usable. Same 3.7 kW charger as standard and the same 7.4 kW option, so a full charge is about 5 hours 30 minutes or 2 hours 45 minutes respectively.
The Grandland Electric from late 2024 is the full battery car, with 73 kWh usable. Vauxhall does not publish an AC rating in its own material and we believe it to be 11 kW, so we would rather flag that than promise it. A 32A cable gives you 7.4 kW at home and around 11 hours 15 minutes from empty.

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The plug-in Grandland X of 2020 and 2021, in both Hybrid4 300 and Hybrid 225 form, has a Type 2 socket and a 13.2 kWh battery. Pick 32A if you want the cable to suit the optional 7.4 kW charger as well as the 3.7 kW standard one.
Do I need 16A or 32A for a Grandland X Hybrid?
16A delivers 3.7 kW, which matches the standard onboard charger exactly and fills the 13.2 kWh battery in about 4 hours. 32A delivers 7.4 kW and halves that to roughly 2 hours, but only on cars fitted with the optional charger. If you are unsure which yours has, buy 32A and you are covered.
How long does a Grandland X Hybrid take to charge?

Buy the 32A Type 2 to Type 2 cable for a Vauxhall Mokka-e. Every electric Mokka listed below carries a Type 2 inlet, and every one of them draws 7.4 kW once it is plugged in at a British home. The 32A cable is the only one we stock that lets the car reach that figure, so it is the default whether your car is a 2021 example or a 2025 one.
The Mokka-e is the odd one out in the Vauxhall range, in a good way. Where the Corsa-e of the same period treated the 11 kW three phase charger as an upgrade, the Mokka-e was given it as standard from launch. On the 54 kWh Long Range that arrived in early 2024, Vauxhall inverted the usual arrangement again and offered a 7 kW charger as the cheaper alternative. All of that only shows up on three phase power. British houses are single phase, which caps the supply at 7.4 kW whatever the car can accept, so on your driveway only battery size separates them.
That battery split is what moves the numbers. The 2021 to 2023 car holds 46.3 kWh usable out of a 50 kWh pack. The Long Range and the 2025 facelift hold 50.8 kWh usable out of 54 kWh. On a 32A cable that works out at a little over seven hours for the earlier car and a little under eight for the later one, so either way it is a single overnight charge.
Choose the 16A cable only if you are plugging into a 16A commando socket or an older post, because it holds the car at 3.7 kW and roughly doubles those times. The Type 2 to 3 Pin cable is a different tool again: 2.3 kW from a domestic socket, adjustable from 6A to 12A, and best kept as a backup for a relative's house or a holiday cottage. Filling a Mokka-e from a wall plug takes most of a day.
The 32A three phase cable earns its price only if you regularly use three phase posts at work or in a commercial car park, where the Mokka-e will take its full 11 kW. It is backwards compatible and still runs at 7.4 kW on your home unit.

Every version of this van, whether it wears the Vivaro-e badge or the Vivaro Electric name it took in 2024, has a Type 2 socket and a 7.4 kW onboard charger as standard. This is a set that allows for the vibration of the motors to be dampened for the flight controller of the copter/plane. All you need to do is to mount your flight controller ontop of this anti-vibration mount and it will isolate the vibrations on your autopilot sensors. This is very important as this dampening effect can improve the performance significantly. The picture below demonstrates the difference in vibrations before using a vibration damping mount, and after one is applied. Here you have a choice of sizes; a smaller mounting set for flight controller such as the Flip 32+/CC3D, or a bigger set for controller such as Pixhawks and APM boards.

The VIFLY Beacon's alarm is super loud, with a volume of over 100 dB, making it easy to locate your drone even in long distances. Additionally, it has anti-theft technology, beeping continuously to warn anyone who tries to take your drone while it's in alarm status. The VIFLY Beacon is also equipped with a position light at night to make your drone visible when the built-in light sensor detects the darkness. Activating the VIFLY Beacon is easy, just hold the button for 2-5 seconds to turn it on or off. When turned on, the buzzer will sound 2 whispers continuously and the LED will be on briefly. The sensitivity of the motion sensor can also be adjusted using the micro USB cable and pressing the button shortly to enter the sensitivity setting within 10 seconds. Operation
How to Activate: Hold the button for 2-5 seconds to turn on or off. When turning on, the buzzer will sound 2 whispers continuously and LED is on shortly. When turning off, the buzzer will sound 3 whispers continuously.
How to Alarm: When detecting a big crash, VIFLY Beacon will enter pre-alarm status that it will sound 1 whistle every 3 seconds. If another movement is detected in 30 seconds, the pre-alarm status will be released. If no movement is detected in 30 seconds, it will enter alarm status. The buzzer will beep 2 loud sounds continuously every 6 or 12 seconds. LED will flash when detecting the light darkness.
Stealing Alert: Stealing alert function will be activated when VIFLY Beacon enters the alarm status. If detecting quick movement, it will beep continuously to warn the picker. Hold the button for 2-5 seconds to turn off the buzzer and release the warning status.
Motion Sensitivity Setting: Plugin the micro USB cable and hold the power button for 2-5 seconds that the LED starts to blink, press the button shortly to enter the sensitivity setting within 10 seconds.LED blinks one time, the sensitivity is high, LED blinks two times, the sensitivity is medium, LED blinks three times, the sensitivity is low. Hold the button 2-5 seconds to save the setting.
How to Charge: When the battery voltage is low, the buzzer will beep 2 low sounds every 1 second. Charging via Micro USB cable, the LED light will be off when it is fully charged.

Important Note
Before using StoreSafe, please make sure that the voltage of each battery cell is higher than 3.95V. After plugging in the battery, the LED that indicates the status will flash for about 5 seconds and then enter the discharging state. If the LED status does not indicate correctly, please disconnect the battery immediately. The StoreSafe will stop discharging when your battery reaches storage voltage (3.85V±0.08V / cell) and then goes into an ultra-low leakage current (<10uA)

Why is it important to discharge Lipos when storing them (set them to storage voltage)
When storing LiPo batteries, it is important to discharge them to the storage voltage, which is typically between 3.7-3.8V per cell. This is because LiPo batteries can degrade and become damaged if they are stored at full charge for an extended period of time. High voltage can cause the battery to puff, which is a sign of internal damage and can lead to a decrease in performance and capacity. Additionally, if the voltage is too high, it can cause the battery to become unstable and even potentially catch fire. By discharging the LiPo battery to storage voltage, it is less likely to degrade and have a longer life.
Why storing at full charge damages your Lipo Cells
LiPo batteries can get damaged when stored at full voltage for an extended period of time because of the chemical reactions that occur inside the battery. The lithium ions inside the battery are constantly moving between the anode and cathode during discharge and charge cycles. When a LiPo battery is stored at full voltage, the lithium ions can continue to move to the anode and become trapped there. This can cause the anode to expand and puff, which is a sign of internal damage and can lead to a decrease in performance and capacity. Additionally, the trapped lithium ions can cause an increase in pressure inside the battery, which can lead to a decrease in the overall health of the battery and even potentially cause a fire.
Another reason why LiPo batteries can get damaged when stored at full voltage is that they can self-discharge over time. LiPo batteries have a self-discharge rate of about 2-3% per month at room temperature. When the battery is stored at full voltage, the self-discharge rate is much higher and can cause the voltage to drop below the safe storage voltage. This can cause a loss of capacity and performance, which can lead to a shorter life of the battery.
Furthermore, leaving the battery at high voltage for a long time can cause a phenomenon called voltage depression, which refers to the decrease in voltage that happens when a LiPo battery sits at full charge for an extended period of time. This can cause a decrease in the overall performance of the battery and shorten its lifespan.

Why do you need LED strobe lights on your drone?
According to the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) in the UK, strobe lights are required on drones when flying at night in order to increase visibility and safety. The use of strobe lights can help other aircraft and people on the ground to see the drone more clearly, reducing the risk of collisions. The CAA recommends that drones should be equipped with strobe lights that emit a bright, flashing white light that can be seen from at least 3 miles away. Additionally, the CAA recommends that drones should be equipped with a navigation light that emits a steady red light on the left-hand side and a steady green light on the right-hand side, to indicate the orientation of the drone and to aid in collision avoidance.
