The eSprinter is a Type 2 van and a 32A Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the one to order. Its charging inlet sits behind the badge in the grille rather than on the side of the body, which is worth knowing when you decide how the van sits in relation to the charge point.
Which eSprinter you run decides how long a charge takes. The first van, sold from 2020 to 2023, has a 55 kWh gross pack with 47 kWh usable and a 7.4 kW onboard charger. That is a full charge in about 7 hours 15 minutes, which sits comfortably inside an overnight stand at the depot.
The second generation from 2024 moved to an 11 kW charger and much larger batteries. On a UK single phase supply the 113 kWh van takes roughly 17 hours 15 minutes and the 81 kWh version around 12 hours 15 minutes. Those are worst case numbers, measured from flat. A van coming back with a third of its pack left will still be ready by morning.
Note what is happening there. UK premises are single phase, so 7.4 kW is your ceiling at home or at a standard commercial charge point, whatever the van's 11 kW charger could manage. If your depot really does have three phase power, the 22kW cable lets a second generation van pull its full 11 kW, cutting the 113 kWh van to about 11 hours 30 minutes and the 81 kWh van to roughly 8 hours 15 minutes. On the first generation van it changes nothing.
Trim and line make no difference to charging, so there is no need to match your specification to a cable.
Length deserves thought on a van this size. Because the socket is at the very front, an eSprinter usually has to nose in towards the post, and five metres can be tight on a busy site. 10m handles most depots and kerbside stops. We also stock 15m and 20m where the charge point and the bay are nowhere near each other.

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable at 32A. Every eSprinter uses a Type 2 inlet, and 32A gives you the full 7.4 kW a UK single phase supply can deliver. That covers the 2020 van, which caps at 7.4 kW anyway, and the 2024 van, whose 11 kW charger only beats that figure on three phase.
The first generation van, at 47 kWh usable, is full in about 7 hours 15 minutes. The 81 kWh second generation van takes roughly 12 hours 15 minutes on a single phase supply, and the 113 kWh van about 17 hours 15 minutes. A van returning part charged will still be ready for the morning.
Only if the site has a three phase supply and you run a 2024 or later van. On three phase the 11 kW charger fills the 113 kWh van in about 11 hours 30 minutes instead of 17 hours 15 minutes. On the first generation van, or on any single phase supply, it buys you nothing.
Behind the badge in the grille, not on the side of the body where most vans put it. That is worth planning your bay around, because it usually means driving the van in forwards rather than reversing onto the post, and it affects how much cable you need to reach.
10m covers most depots and kerbside stops. 5m works only when a van reliably parks in the same spot facing its own charge point. For bigger sites we stock 15m and 20m, and the extra reach matters here because the eSprinter socket sits right at the front of the vehicle.
They charge at the same rate but not for the same length of time. Both second generation vans carry the 11 kW onboard charger, so on a UK single phase supply both draw 7.4 kW. The 81 kWh van reaches full in around 12 hours 15 minutes and the 113 kWh van in about 17 hours 15 minutes.
