Citroën ë-Dispatch Charging Cable
The Citroen e-Dispatch takes a 32A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. Every version has a Type 2 inlet and a 7.4 kW onboard charger as standard, and 7.4 kW is the ceiling of a single phase UK supply, so one cable covers the whole range. What changes is the battery. The 50 kWh van holds 46.3 kWh usable and Citroen quotes about 7 hours 30 minutes for a full charge at 7.4 kW. The 75 kWh van holds 68 kWh usable and wants about 11 hours 20 minutes from the same supply. Same cable, same connector, nearly four hours between them, so establish which van you have before building an overnight schedule. An 11 kW three phase charger was a paid option. Where a depot or yard has three phase power, our 32A three phase cable brings those figures down to roughly 4 hours 45 minutes for the 50 kWh and about 7 hours for the 75 kWh. On a single phase supply the option changes nothing, and neither does the three phase cable. Both batteries also support CCS rapid charging at up to 100 kW. That is a DC connection built into the van and uses the charge point's own tethered lead. The cable on this page is for AC charging at home, at work and at public posts. The 16A cable is capped at 3.7 kW: about 14 hours 15 minutes for the 50 kWh van and around 20 hours 45 minutes for the 75 kWh. Citroen quotes about 7 hours 30 minutes for the 46.3 kWh usable 50 kWh van on a 7.4 kW supply, and about 11 hours 20 minutes for the 68 kWh usable 75 kWh version. With three phase power and the 11 kW option, those fall to roughly 4 hours 45 minutes and 7 hours. Is the 11 kW option worth it for a fleet? Only where your site has three phase power. The 11 kW charger was a paid option and gains nothing on a single phase supply. Where three phase exists it saves a 50 kWh van around two hours 45 minutes per full charge, and a 75 kWh van more than four hours, which adds up across a fleet. How do I tell a 50 kWh van from a 75 kWh? The badge tells you, because Citroen sells them plainly as 50 kWh and 75 kWh. Usable capacity is 46.3 kWh and 68 kWh respectively. Both went on sale in 2020, both use Type 2, and both charge at 7.4 kW as standard. Only the hours on the clock differ, by nearly four. Is a 3 pin cable enough for an e-Dispatch? Not for a working van. At 2.3 kW it needs about 22 hours 45 minutes for the 50 kWh and around 33 hours 30 minutes for the 75 kWh, which no overnight stop will cover. Carry one as a backup for an unplanned night away from your charger. It is IP67 rated. What cable length works best for a van? 10m suits most operators. Harley-Davidson Livewire EV Charging Cable
Buy the 16A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. That is the whole answer for a LiveWire, and it is deliberately the cheapest recommendation on this site. The bike carries a 1.4 kW onboard charger, and that figure is a hard ceiling set by the machine itself. Nothing you plug it into can push past it, so a 16A cable already supplies more than the LiveWire will ever draw. UK and European bikes use a Type 2 socket, built into a CCS Combo 2 inlet. American LiveWires were fitted with Type 1, so if you are reading advice written for the States, ignore it. A standard Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the correct fit here, whether you bought a Harley-Davidson badged bike from 2019 to 2021 or a LiveWire ONE from March 2023, when LiveWire became a brand of its own. Mechanically and electrically the two are the same machine. With 13.6 kWh usable and 1.4 kW going in, a full charge takes around 12 hours 30 minutes. That number does not move. Plug into a 3.7 kW unit, a 7.4 kW home charger or a 22 kW three phase post and you will still be waiting about twelve and a half hours, because the restriction is on the bike. Buying the 32A or three phase version of this cable would cost you more and save you nothing. For a genuinely quick top up you would use the CCS side of the inlet at a rapid charger, which takes the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in about 40 minutes and needs no cable of your own. Length matters differently for a bike. Most LiveWires live in a garage, a shed or a bike store rather than on an open driveway, so measure from the socket to where the front wheel actually ends up, then add slack for wheeling the bike in and out without dragging the lead. Five metres suits a single garage with the socket on the same wall. Ten metres is the safer choice if power comes from the house and the bike sits at the back of a shed, if you share a store with other bikes, or if you also plug in at work where the post may be a bay or two away. Kia Sportage Charging Cable
Only one Kia Sportage plugs in: the 1.6 T-GDi PHEV, sold from 2022 onwards. If that is your car, order the Type 2 to Type 2 cable in 32A single phase. It is the quickest lead the Sportage can use. Check the badge on the boot before ordering anything. Kia sells the Sportage as petrol, as a 48V mild hybrid marked MHEV, as a self-charging hybrid marked HEV, and as a plug-in hybrid marked PHEV. Only the PHEV has a charging port. A T-GDi, CRDi, HEV or MHEV Sportage has nowhere to plug a cable in at all. No plug-in Sportage was offered before 2022 either, so a 2016 to 2021 car does not take a cable whatever its badge says. Trim level changes nothing about charging. With the PHEV the numbers are refreshingly simple. The battery is 13.8 kWh and the onboard charger stops at 7.2 kW. Our 32A lead carries 7.4 kW, a fraction more than the car will accept, so the Sportage sets the pace and fills from empty in roughly 2h15m on a home wallbox. That same small battery is why the three phase cable makes no sense on this car. 22 kW is a three phase rating, the Sportage charger is single phase, and a British house is single phase anyway. You would pay more and still wait 2h15m. The 16A lead is the real decision. At 3.7 kW a full charge takes about 4h15m, near enough double. Plenty of owners never notice, because 4h15m still disappears overnight. Pay the difference for the 32A version if you top up between journeys during the day, when two hours saved actually matters. The Mercedes eCitan needs a Type 2 to Type 2 cable at 32A, and the version you buy depends on the electricity supply at your depot rather than on the van. Take the 32A single phase in 5m or 10m for a standard site. The eCitan, sold from 2023 as a panel van and crew van in L1 and L2, carries a 45 kWh battery and a 22 kW onboard charger as standard. That is the highest AC rating of any Mercedes van we supply cables for. Whether that 22 kW does anything for you is the real question. Britain wires houses and most small commercial units on a single phase supply, and a single phase supply tops out at 7.4 kW no matter what the van will accept.
